From the vaulted ceilings with a floor-to-ceiling stone log burning fireplace, to the dual windows that open to the sky and valley below, the customized views are unparalleled. The wraparound porch provides 360 degree views of beauty, the therapy hottub on the covered porch has views of the valley below, while the back porch has its own stone fireplace with gas logs. and seating area, swing and grilling area, all overlooking the valley for miles and miles. Outdoor firepit also has expansive views. A fully appointed kitchen with all modern appliances and copper tub with walk in shower will make you feel as cozy as an owl in its nest. Large back deck with steps to the brow below for exploring and all within a couple of miles from downtown Mentone Shops, restaurants, and farmers market. Bring your bike, there are miles of roads along the brow. High quality linens, towels, and bedding is provided, with a QLED 80 inch TV to watch the games, Wireless internet and a multitude of DVD titles and board games available for your use as well. My wife and I booked this stay because we have too many kids, and we needed to get away. This cabin has everything we needed for the perfect, quiet getaway. Our only regret is not staying longer. Lesson learned. We'll definitely see about a longer stay here, next time. On another note, whatever the housekeeper, Lisa, is being paid, she's worth it and more. This is our "home away from home" now. God put Robert and his special place in our lives at the perfect time. We have stayed multiple times now and love it each time. Check in is always so easy and the kitchen is perfect for a short or long stay. Wi-Fi is great even at the top of the mountain day and night, never an issue. There are amazing restaurants within a few minutes of the cabin, and we have not had a bad experience yet. Hopefully we will get to meet Robert in person and personally thank him for allowing us the privilege to rent his special cabin on the top of the mountain.
