Very good Ski hotel
We stayed for 6 nights bed and breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were good and the spa facilities were great after a days skiing.

Luxury hotel and spa in Zermatt
We were very impressed with the hotel right when we arrived; it is very close to the train station, we had a little electric car take us to the hotel, it looks amazing inside and out, there was a man playing live music right at the entrance (with a piano, very funny); they have a ski room with individual lockers for all the equipment, they have a game room-area, and best of all they have an amazing spa on the -1 floor, which we visited every day after skiing (pool, jacuzzi, sauna, hamman, gym and massages). It got a bit crowded some evenings, but we would have it all to ourselves a couple of times. After check in we went directly to our room and were very pleased to see it was a big room, with a very nice balcony and views to the Matterhorn mountain, I mean what else could we ask for (of course very clean and comfortable) Only little inconvenient is that we were on the fourth floor, right under the roof, so the ceiling was tilted, which was very cute inside the bedroom, but made the bathroom a bit uncomfortable (shower was tricky). It also has a nice restaurant (with different options every night) and decent breakfast. Overall we were incredibly pleased with our stay (1 week) and even though I thought it was a bit expensive when I made the reservation, as soon as we arrived I understood it’s absolutely worth it and got more than we actually paid for. We will definitely come back.

Well equipped hotel with nice Matterhorn view
My family of 4, all adults already, stayed here for 2 nights. The room is of good size, with a mezzanine floor for kids with 2 beds. There is a balcony with a view of Matterhorn on a clear day. There are free shuttle and swimming pool and gym...facilities I didn't use. Will try to return to try them out some day.

great hotel with good location and mountain view
the hotel offers shuttle service for picking up and dropping down to the rail station, this is definitely a plus. staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and the price of the supper is reasonable. Room for 3 is super big with the partial view of Matterhorn, highly recommend

Cozy hotel
This hotel gives a very cozy feeling. I would have given five full points rating if not for spider webs found on ceiling's wood planks and that the staffs' service could have been better (especially the lady in the morning shift is very lacking in smile). Improve and I think most guests would return.

Great hotel. Spacious room. View of Matterhorn.
The family room was large with a view of Matterhorn from the balcony. The kids could sleep in separate bunk beds in an attached room. The breakfast was standard. Close to train station. Dinner was good with excellent service.

Great for skiing zermatt!
We went there to ski I would go back- the hotel location was great for being close to the train station, gondola and the main part of town

Great find! Lovely spacious rooms
Staff who love their customers. One of the best ski rooms we've ever stayed in with lovely views of the Matterhorn. Our room 45 had sloping roof with character and amazing bathroom. Close to ski bus pick up too. 5 minutes walk to Gornergrat railway and 6 to centre of town.

Zermatt for conference: very pleased with hotel
Very nice, and inexpensive hotel. Good location near train station. Fantastic view of Matterhorn from room balcony. Staff very helpful. Room very clean, and spacious. Breakfast is just fine, and service was very rapid and friendly. Nothing wrong with this hotel at all really: in Zermatt you could spend A LOT more money and not have any better stay. I am planning to stay in Alpen plus hotel when I come back next year.

Excellent Hotel in Zermatt
The Best Western Alpen Resort is close the the town centre only 300 mts from the train station but just call them for the shuttle it arrives in minutes. The views from any room are breathtaking. There is a free shuttle to the ski lifts every 25 minutes. The ski room is great, pool and spa brilliant. The breakfast, bar and restaurant food/staff are great. I cannot recommend this hotel more.

Wonderful hotel
We had a wonderful stay. The facilities were beautiful and included an expensive spa with indoor pool and hot tub. The room was very large and had a shared balcony. Breakfast was very impressive and tasty. We felt this hotel was a great deal considering the prices of surrounding hotels. Dinner in the restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced.

Unaccomodating Hotel Staff
Pillow was very hard & high. Called reception and was told it can't be changed until the next day. Had a sore next. Hotel staff are very cold and unaccomodating. 2 single beds cant be changed to a double bed, almost every request was met with a No. Not accomodating at all. Just an average hotel, apart from the nice pool and good sauna, otherwise, give it a miss.

Great Stay
Stayed one night in the hotel (before embarking on Glacier Express). Got a room upgrade upon check-in for a nice large room with a balcony. Overall excellent stay and would be happy to visit again when in Zermatt.

This hotel is situated on the opposite side of the train station from the downtown stores but is well within walking distance. The front desk was ok and nothing spectacular but the room was spacious and comfortable. The included breakfast was the most pleasing and had many selections and even champagne on Sunday. That said, we didn't have lunch nor breakfast at the hotel because there are many other selections in the town, though we got a 10% discount at the hotel restaurants.

Actually we had no problem in the hotel. It is a bit expensive to lunch and dine there, I should say rather expensive, though the food, one dinner, was excellent, the waitress was excellent, too. The room design, with that glass door to the bathroom is not what I like. But it may be personal preference.

I stayed here in May 2016 for six days with my brother and my mother as a getaway for my birthday. The check in and check out processes were quick and efficiently dealt with by the reception staff. Breakfast offered a good variety of hot and cold food: rolls and breads, cereals, sausages, eggs, cold meat, fruit juices, and spreads. This list is not exhaustive. The waiting staff were attentive and enthusiastic. The room was clean and had a mini-fridge, plenty of storage space, a mini-safe and an abundance of power points. Replenishment of the coffee was missed a couple of times. Outside of the room I occupied was a sitting area - partly grassed, partly paved - and there were sun loungers for when the warm weather arrives. I didn't use any of the leisure facilities or the restaurant so I can't comment on them. The hotel is in a quiet location ~300m from the main station (from Täsch), the station for the Gornergrat railway and the electro-bus to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise cableway station. It is ~600m from the funicular to Sunnegga. There is a Co-op in the shopping mall just next to the Gornergrat train station. This year was the first time that I have been to Zermatt in the off-season. Some mountain transportation, restaurants and shops were closed for the inter-season break from the end of April until the end of May or mid-June. I would rather have everything operating and offering full choice.

Great location and facilities
Short walk from zermatt train station (no need for a cab) and also very close to two of the three ski lifts and centre of town. Breakfast each morning was nice and so was the spa and sauna at the end of the day.

Lovely hotel in a lovely part of the world
Stayed in this hotel prior to picking up the Glacier Express. I cannot fault the hotel who were extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel is a five minute walk from the train station in Zermatt and I will stay there again.

The hotel is located close to bus stop that will take you to the main lifts. Short walk to shopping district and restaurants. The staff is great, especially Saskia from the front desk. She made our significantly more pleasent and fun.

The Hotel is close to train station. My triple room had good view but there was room to improve the cleanliness and .... No replacement of towels and insisted they did. And responded the spot was okay! It took more than 40 minutes to provide clean towels..... Room service came in and did not wait for your response?!

Loved the Matterhorn view from our room
This hotel was great for our family this summer. By far my favorite thing was the fantastic view of the Matterhorn from our room - that I could see day and night from the bed. We visited in summer so the pools and tennis were great, the short walking distance to town, shopping, restaurants and train station was convenient. It was on the far end of town for the lifts up to Paradise Glacier but that was fine for our one day of skiing.

What a view!!
What a spot!! This hotel has it all. From the view of the Matterhorn to the pools to the short distance from the train. We were lucky enough to stay in a family room. One with a loft for the kids. It made the trip all the better as they had there own space. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. Looking forward to trying it out in the winter time.

Cosy resort in Zermatt
We were visiting Zermatt for a family vacation. The hotel is quite close tot eh station and also offers a pickup from the station (Zermatt is a car free village). The hotel is very cosy and comfortable. Room size was quite big by European standards. Highly recommended for families. The balcony had breathtaking view of the Matterhorn. The hotel staff is also quite friendly. Overall a very pleasant stay.
