The Casa San Juan was a great stay, especially for the price! We like to support locals when we travel & this family owned hotel & restaurant was just that! Very helpful with check-in, housekeeping & service at the restaurant! The room was spacious for 3 adults, the beds were a bit hard, but we slept well. The area was quiet, but we don’t mind waking up to the sound of chickens and turkeys. It is in a neighborhood, not in the city center. We took a 5 minute taxi ride from the bus station to the hotel.($40MX) Front desk was extremely helpful in booking us a private tour to 2 ruins & 2 cenotes! It was a perfect day! The restaurant was so convenient and delicious, we didn’t need to eat anywhere else! Breakfast buffet was delicious! If we return to Valladolid we would not hesitate to stay here again! We had a fantastic time. This little hotel is wonderful and their staff is very nice. The rooms were clean, everything in working condition, the beds and shower were great. The restaurant has great food. It has everything you can ask for. The breakfast buffet which was included with our stay was so convenient and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. They had a party on Christmas night and it was just a perfect night for our family. Valladolid is such a great town, very beautiful, with so much to see and do. We definitely enjoy staying here and would stay here again in the future. The only thing if I have to mention something that could improve is the wifi is not very reliable so if you are travelling with little kids it might be an issue for them, also getting in and out of the parking lot is hard! And the pool was too cold in December so we couldnt enjoy it. Walking downtown takes maybe 15 mins and at night it might not feel super safe but it is, Valladolid is a very safe town to walk at any hour. We loved it.
