The sunrises are amazing! The Oasis offers an abundance of outdoor living space. It has a large covered deck with chairs and a dining area to enjoy the view and the breeze, while the underneath area boasts a full bath, bar, kitchenette, swing, and hammock, all for your enjoyment. Off to the side, you will find a BBQ pit and a fire pit area with chairs for cooking s'mores and cozying up on those cool Texas nights. The Oasis has a master bedroom with a queen bed, a loft with two queen beds, a full bath, a kitchen, and a living area. It has lots of glass to enjoy the view inside and out! This cabin has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The river is excellent for swimming, fishing, snorkeling, or kayaking. Bird watching, biking, hiking, and hunting are popular in this area. Watching wildlife in the mornings or star gazing at night, this place won't disappoint. We need room for more family and friends and rent the houses next door. It is located 30 miles north of Uvalde and about 10 miles south of Camp Wood. In this area, AT&T cell service works well; I have been told Verizon doesn't, so you might want to check about service in the area before you come if you don't have AT&T. Welcome to Rio Escondido! Renter Responsibilities During your stay: DO NOT BRING MORE PEOPLE THAN ARE ALLOWED IN YOUR UNIT OR THAT YOU SAID WAS COMING; they will be asked to leave! If you plan on having any day visitors, you must get prior approval through email or text; if prior authorization is not received, they will not be allowed. Only up to 4 visitors are allowed during your stay. Each visitor, no matter the age, will cost $25/person per day of visiting. Visiting hours are only from 8 am - 8 pm. We have the right to refuse or remove any visitors at any time! To reduce visits by insects and rodents, please wipe up food spills and store food and trash properly—no parking on the grass. No ATVs and No Fireworks! At the end of your stay, to avoid being charged! \*wipe up any spills(charge will vary) \*wash and put away all dishes and utensils(Charge $35) \*Empty refrigerator of any food items(charge will vary) \*Pick up any items dropped in the yard (ex: trash including cigarette butts, broken water balloons, bottles, cans, etc.)(charge $35) \*Put all trash in garbage cans(charge $35) \*Put all used towels in the laundry room \*Turn off all lights and all air conditioning and heaters. DON'T FORGET TO SIGN OUT OF TVS TVs & Wi-Fi We do not have satellite service, but there are smart TVs that you can use to log into your accounts and watch. Be sure to log off when you leave. Wi-Fi is The Oasis, and the password is Oasisfun. We do ask that if any damage or loss of property occurs during your stay, please report it to Nathan so that the item may be replaced or repaired. The house was cozy, worth the price, and had the most beautiful view. We had access to the river which the water was crystal clear and there was a lot of activities for us to do. We loved the clear water! Although a cold front with lots of rain came through while we were there, we still enjoyed our stay. Since it was too cold to get in the water, we purchased an inflatable kayak. Nathan gave us suggestions on where to put the kayak in, which was very helpful. Very nice area to swim in especially for our kids.We loved also it had the kids there own cute little house with ac included in it.They we’re so excited to have there own area to hang out in. There was very beautiful view from our cabin.We wish it had a few fans out on the porch areas with the heat and all was pretty hot with no air flow. There was a burn ban in effect during our stay so we weren’t able to utilize the fire pit. We were still able to BBQ and enjoy lots of time outside. We spent the majority of our time outside and in the river. We come to Uvalde every July 4th for a family reunion and this was our first time to stay at this location. We loved how quiet it was! And we loved being able to set up for the day by the river and enjoy the water. It was perfect for our kids (ages 3 and 7). Can’t wait to go back! The only comment I will make (and it’s just more of an FYI for future renters) is that the only place to really get any groceries super close is the gas station in Camp Wood. We had an incredible time here….we stayed in the white cabin, Treetop Oasis. We travel in Texas and rent cabins often and our expectations are high. The cabin is clean and beautiful and the scenery is breathtaking! Sunrise, sunsets, and we’ve never seen so many stars! Can see the swirls of the Milky Way. Def grab a blanket or your floats and lay under the night sky!! S’mores and patio time with the fam. Air conditioned playhouse for the littles. The water is cool and clear. Can see fish and turtles. Bring floats and pop up chairs and maybe a canopy for the river. Bluetooth speaker. Floating in the river is where we spent most of our time. The river is not really “flowing” but it’s a beautiful, clear, swimming hole that we loved. Saw an armadillo on the property, colorful birds, and a few deer crossing the river at dusk. There are deer feeders on the property and was hoping to see more dear. There is a slight walk to the river from this cabin but not bad. We secured our floats and chairs under the stairs by the river access each day instead of toting them back. The green cabin next door is closer to the river access and it overlooks the river directly whereas this cabin sets back nestled in trees. We stayed 3 nights and wish we had booked longer! Again, the listing pics are not showing how incredibly beautiful this location is!!!! There are four cabins on this property, so would be great for a family/friend vacation. You will share the river area with the folks in the other cabins but we were spread out and no complaints. Just rent the darn thang! We will be back! ##### SHANNA M. My brother & I came here for a sibling trip on Thanksgiving. We were greeted by Nathan who was so kind & welcoming.
