"The Canal Beagle Hotel is very convenient to the Port of Ushuaia. I stayed there both before and after a cruise to Antarctica. It was a mere 5-min walk to/from my ship. It is also a 10-min taxi drive to/from the airport. The hotel itself is somewhat older but squeaky clean and it has nice amenities such as a spa, pool, and workout facility. It should be noted that part of the hotel is being renovated and it should be real nice when completed. The continental breakfast is good with some hot items and there is a small deli on site. The people working reception speak fluent English and they will allow you to store your baggage in a locked room prior to check-in or after checking out. Ushuaia in general shows some wear and tear but I felt safe walking the area around the hotel. There is also a lot of shopping and restaurants nearby. "
