Our pups loved running the trails, and the leaves were at their peak for the season! The house was clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend. Even though there wasn’t WiFi available, the big problem was there was zero internet connection, a dead zone. No antennae for television either, just old vhs and some dvds. There was not enough hot water in the shower. We had 4 people staying, and had to time out our showers by at least a half hour, to have enough hot water. The water pressure was also terrible. We were not provided with enough toilet paper to last the trip and had to purchase our own. Couldn't get reception in town to tell our family we were there. Everything closes at 8pm. Was really excited to check out the trails but it rained all weekend and then we lost power for 4 hours while we were cooking my birthday dinner. In the morning our kid was sick and we had a 4 hour drive home, since we had no reception to reach the owner, check out was at 12pm and owner knocked around 1:15 pm telling us we had to leave without asking if everything was alright. I was tending to my sick child so I couldn't talk to him, as I was in the other room. Around 1130am prior to that, there was honking and a man and woman telling me to move my car (nothing was stated I couldn't park there) I apologized and they said nothing and had a mean look on their face. Definitely a nice place to escape. Wish there was a way to contact owner with a walkie talkie or something for emergencies. Cottage was as described. Says Scott Wisconsin on the booking but its gays mills Wisconsin (1.5 hour more of a drive) Would stay there again if there was a small back up generator.
