We are proud to offer multiple 4-8 bedroom luxury log homes in the Whiteface and Lake Placid area, with over 1000+ 5 star reviews. We can host multi-family get togethers and and of course quiet "get away from it all" retreats. All our homes have automatic whole-house backup generators, as well as RV Hookups and EV Chargers. This luxurious log home sits on 5 private acres and provides wonderful views of the Jay Mountain Range. The amazing views can be enjoyed from the patio, gazebo or the deck as well as inside the home through the abundant glass. Bike, walk, hike and cross country ski on the surrounding country side. More extensive activities can be found in the surrounding High Peaks Region. We are only 4 miles from Whiteface Mountain Ski area so you can be on the slopes in minutes. Lake Placid and the Olympic Village are just a 15 mile ride where you can find many shops, restaurants, and activities. There are also plenty of wonderful local restaurants (Keene) and bars (AuSable Forks). Rivers, lakes, and streams can be found in every direction to enjoy boating, fishing, canoeing, or swimming. Back at the house there is plenty of room to relax with over 4000 sq. feet of living space. The multi-zone heated and individually air-conditioned log home features a great room on the main floor with twenty eight foot high ceilings and a full glass front to let in the views. A fireplace with a large stone chimney creates a cozy atmosphere for all the guests. Adjacent to the great room is the dining room with plenty of seating, and a kitchen will all top of the line appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware and settings you need. Also located on the main floor is the master bedroom suite with a king size bed. The master bath has his and hers sinks and a walk-in shower. There is also a half bath on the main floor. Upstairs there are three bedrooms - 1st bedroom has a king bed and a day bed with trundle, 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, and the 3rd bedroom also has a queen bed. The second floor also has a full bathroom and a loft area with a guest PC. Additionally, there is a laundry/mud room off the kitchen. The walk-out lower level has two large bedrooms, two full baths, large recreation area with a ping pong table, TV media center with Xbox w/games, and an additional laundry room. 1st bedroom has a king bed and the 2nd bedroom has two of twin over full w/twin trundle bunk beds. The rec room common space has 2 futons for additional guests. For the little ones, we also provide a crib with a mattress, a high chair, and a pack 'n play. There is also a 2 car oversized parking garage available for guest use. Further, the outside also features a BBQ on the deck as well as fire pit for those late starry nights. Lastly, there is a 7 person Hot Tub and 8 person Sauna situated over a flagstone patio under the stars!! There is also a RV Hookup as well as an EV Charger! Finally, there is also an automatic whole-house backup generator on premises so that mother nature doesn't interfere with your stay! Minimum Stay Requirements: Winter months of December, January, February and March - 3 Night Weekend minimums and 2 Night Mid-Week minimums. MLK and Presidents Day are 4 night minimums. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry. Late Spring months starting May 15th and through last weekend of June have 3 Night Weekend minimums. Memorial Day is a 4 night minimum. Summer months of July and August have 7 Night minimums, depending on the week and availability. Sunday to Sunday stays are preferred. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are sometimes possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry. Fall months of September and October - 3 Night Weekend minimums and 2 Night Mid-Week minimums. It’s a cozy log cabin, with great amenities (hot tub, sauna, air fryer, two laundry rooms). We went with friends last year, and brought the family this year. It’s centrally located between Lake Placid and Keene Valley. Excellent location for trips into town, or to hit a hike out of Adk Log or Keene. The host is very responsive and kind. The houses were a quick walk down the street from each other, making gathering together so easy. Grand Jay was a perfect fit for our needs. The hot tub and sauna were also a hit. Lots of things to do in the area, with a quick drive to Lake Placid. Gene was very responsive to any and all questions and was very accommodating. Gene probably isn't responsible for the perfect weather, but he did provide our extended family with spacious accommodations and an amazing outdoor space to enjoy. Two things that could have been better: we didn't have access to air/heat for the first day and it was abnormally hot that day and the 2 days leading up to our trip. Secondly, the place hadn't been vacuumed recently. I know because of the spike in temperature there were a lot of dead and live houseflies that week, but the property should have been vacuumed that day. The floors were a little dirty and covered with dead flies but the bathrooms and kitchen were clean. The hot tub and sauna were ready for us and we did enjoy them! ##### robyn p. Gene was easy to communicate with, and the check in/out process was seamless. The property had a great feel, it is a short drive to Lake Placid and the ADK Loj. The area has many nearby attractions for those that enjoy the outdoors. The view from the house and the amenities were wonderful. We probably pushed the limit on occupancy with 22 people. The large kitchen table was adequate for us. The TV viewing area was definitely small for our party. The downstairs play area was excellent. We had some bees get into the house in one of the bedrooms. And a couple of my family members thought the beds could have been better (too soft/low quality). ##### Rudy F. This home is amazing, plenty of everything. Kitchen is the best equipped I’ve ever experienced in a vacation rental. So many bathrooms, so many towels, so many bedrooms and so many beds! We were 9 adults, two teens, a 5 year old and 3 under 3\. Plenty of space for everyone! Gene was so helpful and flexible in getting us checked in early because of the bad weather hitting later in the day. He was kind to check in and make sure everything was ok. Communicated great via text. Sauna and hot tub were in full working order. Two refrigerator/freezers, 3 sets of washer/dryer. This home literally has everything. Lots of fun stuff in the basement -ping pong, guitar hero. Property was well taken care of, especially the driveway plowing/sanding. 10 minutes to Whiteface, 20ish minutes to downtown Lake Placid.
