We take great pride in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in our cabin. One of the ways we do this is by decorating the cabin to reflect the changing seasons throughout the year. Our aim is to provide a space that feels like a home away from home, especially for family gatherings.
Spring: As the snow melts away and nature awakens, our cabin mirrors this renewal with fresh floral arrangements, pastel-colored decor, and an overall light and airy feel.
Summer: During the summer months, we embrace a vibrant and tropical theme. Expect to see bright colors, beach-themed decor, and plenty of greenery.
Autumn: As the leaves change color, so does our decor. We incorporate warm tones, rustic decorations, and harvest-themed elements to celebrate the beauty of fall.
Winter: In winter, our cabin transforms into a cozy retreat. We decorate with soft blankets, twinkling lights, holiday-themed decor, and a touch of sparkle to reflect the magic of the season.
We hope that these seasonal decorations enhance your stay and make your family gatherings even more special. Enjoy the unique charm each season brings to our cabin!
The Importance of Supervision in the Wilderness Children are naturally curious and adventurous, which is a wonderful trait that should be encouraged. However, when it comes to staying in a cabin located in the National Forest, this curiosity can potentially lead to dangerous encounters. The forest is home to a variety of wildlife, some of which can pose a threat to humans, especially children.
In such environments, it’s crucial that children are supervised at all times. The forest is home to potentially dangerous animals and snakes. An unsupervised child might unknowingly approach these creatures, leading to harmful situations. Furthermore, the presence of creeks adds another layer of risk. While they may seem harmless and inviting, they can be treacherous, especially for children who may not fully understand the risks involved with water bodies.
Therefore, while the beauty and tranquility of a cabin in the National Forest can provide an unforgettable experience for children, it’s essential that adults ensure their safety by providing constant supervision. This way, children can explore and learn about nature while staying safe from potential hazards. Remember, safety should always be the top priority when venturing into the wilderness.

Great cabin to disconnect from the world for a long weekend. The kitchen was well equipped, so we ate most dinners at the cabin. Plus the fire pit area was great and had firewood ready to go. The owners were very responsive when we had questions.
The host were extremely nice, friendly and helpful. Will definitely be staying again. Good location private but close to anything you may needed. Perfect for people looking to disconnect and relax.
We stayed here for 2 nights for a quick getaway from the daily grind. This was a super neat cabin nestled next to Jefferson forest. Rooms were spick and span, not to mention some personal touches by the attentive host. Since we were traveling with little kids, it was really nice of Pam to leave the coloring books and cookies as a surprise for them! They spent the first evening we reached there, coloring happily in the sunroom! I would definitely come back here for a longer stay and would surely recommend this to future guests.
Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin in the woods! Plenty close to all Natural Bridge attractions and not far from Lexington either! My husband and I and two kids (6 and 3) loved this area and the scenery and fresh air I it here. Sun room and sound of the brook was very peaceful. Beds were very comfortable and black out shades were on every window in master bedroom, including the upper windows, making a very comfortable night’s sleep. Spacious bedrooms too. We loved how Pam decorated for the season, giving the cabin a welcoming and homey feel. She also made sure all necessities like toiletries were available in case you forget. Just need to add a plastic set of dishes for the kiddos. Loved staying here and would stay again! Highly recommend!
Very well stocked kitchen, plenty of space for inviting extra family/ friends, comfortable beds, quiet/ private location, excellent outside seating/ entertaining area, very clean, quaint and inviting home. Would highly recommend this space!!!
If you are looking for a cozy home away from - this is it! The cabin is charming and well appointed. We enjoyed our winter stay and hope to be back when the weather is warmer.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
***NO RBET AVAILABLE***. Property listing clearly indicates that WiFi and Internet are available. When we chose not to stay because of no Internet access we were told that we should have expected it base ok the location being in the National Park. Also they felt as though they didn’t need to refund us anything because we should have ASKED if the internet was reliable even though it was listed as an amenity. The day of arrival the owner sent check-in instructions saying that cell signal wasn’t available in the National Park and that we would have to use Wifi for calls. Upon arrival we found that the ability to make calls and send texts was spotty and took multiple attempts with most failing. None of our devices were able to get Internet service and the same with the tv. When I called the owner about assistance with the tv I was told that there were instructions in the welcome book and that if we were able to get anything to stream we were lucky. Be careful around the fireplace as it is a tripping hazard due to uneven flooring between tile and wood. My husband and one of my children almost fell. See message where owner feels as though welcome message (also attached) should have been sufficient to communicate no internet.
