"This cottage was off by itself. Gave us a great view of the northern lights our first night there. We were a little surprised that there was no oven but we made do with the stove top and microwave. It was a nice stay and we would stay there again. We did not have any experiences with the restaurant. The troll garden was pretty cool. And the views were outstanding. "I stood for a wknd solo trip at Hotel Fron. The rooms lighting wasnt that great. The bathroom was extremely small with no sink space at all. The staff was very very nice. However, upon leaving, I asked the hotel staff how to go about ordering a cab to the airport; which was ordered for me by the hotel. Upon arrival at the airport, I was charged $160 for a 45 min car ride. Of course I paid it but I felt completely robbed and overcharged."

"The Reykjavik Edition is a lovely hotel and the location is very good. Staff were very attentive. We only had breakfast at the hotel and it was a very good selection of food on offer with gorgeous views overlooking the harbor. At peak times, they did run out of glasses and it took a while before they were replaced so people ended up using cups for their juice. We were a family of 3 staying in a double queen room. There is not enough storage in the room for 3 people and we travelled pretty light. I know the hotel is going for a dark/atmospheric look which I like, but they took it to far. We had every single light on in our room and it was still quite dark unless we opened the blinds. Heated flooring in the bathroom was a nice touch. Apart from the dark room, we would definitley stay here again."
