I felt so isolated and vulnerable in one of 2 rooms behind/underneath the main building that my teenage daughter and i moved to what was probably the only room left available in the area. Security of the room was lousy, it was musty and poorly cleaned.

The first we have heard about any issues is via this review, if you had any concerns you have failed to contact management whom are available 24/7. We have checked the security of the room and it is fine, as to it being musty and poorly cleaned, again upon inspection today this is not the case.

False advertising - we booked this place with the understanding there would be free wifi. When we arrived, there was a laminated card, presumably for all rooms, that wifi was not included, but we could try if we wanted to. It didn't work! What place does not provide free wifi, especially when it's advertised as being included? Our room did not have any cups or spoons and we couldn't ask for any, due to the reception being manned remotely. The bathroom was filthy! We could hear all movement upstairs and whenever someone ran water. We will certinaly not be staying here again!

Hi Janet, all you had to do was call the number provided for assistance. Upon inspection of your room on departure there was cups and and spoons so a little confused as to why you said there was none.

Hard to rate staff when we didn't see a single person - remote/self check-in/check-out facilities. Easy enough process but not a fan of this style of "service". Cabin was clean, bed comfortable - but overall quite dated. Television antenna not connected so no standard TV available (lucky enough to crack into previous guest's Netflix !!) Was very quiet despite being located right on a main roadway.

Hi Josephine, it is always disappointing when guests leave a review sore based on their ignorance by NOT reading the Terms and Conditions of the motel you are staying at before you click that you agree (that way you would have been aware that there was a security deposit and that reception is not manned).

Clearly we are a victim of a bad review, as you can not read our checkin times, your arrived way after checkin times as per CCTV footage and phone logs (9:38PM). It always pays to read the property checkin times.

Could have been a nice place but we discovered several stains on our sheets and hair in the bed.. The management of the hotel didn’t really seem to care unfortunately.

Thank you Ellen Stenlund for your review, upon inspection of the room on your departure it was evident that you have heated food in the microwave (based on the state of it and the bench tops with spills all over it, the same as what was on the sheets!!!!! We do provide a dining table that you could have eaten at in the room, and not the bed in which you have chosen to use as a dining table. If you wanted a discount it was not going to work, advice - you should have cleaned up all the evidence. My only regret was not charging you an extra cleaning fee.

There is absolutely nothing to commend about this property. They seem to think that if you request a pet friendly room, then the worst room in the complex will do. Our Maltipoo is probably cleaner than a lot of people and comes with her own bed and lots of walkies with little black bags. No point being pet-friendly if your not friendly to anyone or anything. They don't maintain a proper reception desk, handling everything by remotecontrol. Our room is a converted garage under the building with all the sewerage pipes visible in the bathroom non-ceiling. The globe hanging off the mirror was a nice touch - not! At least the bed was clean, the fridge was cold. They have had to excavate two feet of soil to put a floor into this place and that has disturbed and upset the cockroaches, gives the ants a feast though.

OH Chris what a character you are, our pet friendly rooms are very popular and we have many repeat customers that stay in our pet friendly rooms. We offer budget accommodation as advised, perhaps if you wanted 5 star you should have booked alternate accommodation. There has never been any garages under the building so not quite sure what medication or drugs you might be on. We will be happy to never see you again and you Maltipoo.

Clean room and comfortable mattress
It's clean, tidy and situated at a convenient location. The mattress is comfortable. Though close to the main road, but wouldn't be disturbed by the traffic. However, you could hear the sound from next doors.

Internet was a waste of time so we had to use our phones as hot spots instead. The hot water at night was just above lukewarm thus rather unsatisfactory for a nice, hot shower. The length of time to refund the security deposit is ridiculous. The emails and warnings in the unit about the terms and conditions of staying there, the rules and penalties were a huge turn-off. The assumption seems to be that guests are not to be trusted to do the right thing. This is insulting and I will never stay at this place again.

Oh David, Perhaps we would suggest in future before booking a property on the internet, that you read what the terms and conditions are along with what is included in your rate, before you click on the little box acknowledging that you have, read and agree to the terms and conditions. We liked how close the property was to the beach and was good enough for a last minute trip. However, there was no hot water for when we needed to shower (one in the night and one in the morning). We do not believe the stay should have costed as much as it did because of this. When located near a beach it is extremely important to have a shower and it is not pleasant having a cold shower after a long day out…

Clean, friendly staff and a handy location. However the photos promote the impression of cabins. There are only two cabins which were booked. The rest are motel rooms. If you have the expectation of a cabin you'd better mention it.

Disappointed I was not contacted by phone to be told I needed to go to another location a few kms away to get the key. That information came through the afternoon before in an email which I overlooked as I was busy at work. It was portrayed as my problem when I rang to find out why the reception was closed during the previously advised times of 2 to 6 pm. . We were now running late for a wedding. Our room was not serviced during our 2 night stay. When that was raised in a telephone call we were told that the cleaner had said a man near the room had told her it did not need servicing. After advising the staff member handling the call that we had done no such thing and reminding her of the earlier issue of the key and how that could have been handled better she hung up and the room remained unserviced.

Dear Mr Anonymous-Graeme It is very clear from your response to the email we send you on Wednesday 25 March 2021, clearly advising where the room key is to be collected from was not overlooked. Also on the Friday before check-in the booking agency sent an automated email that was marked as read. Clearly not reading your e-mails that you have replied to is an issue, which is not ours. You collected the key from the location between 2.35-2.45pm on day of arrival perhaps if you arrived at 2.00pm you would not have been late to the wedding you needed to attend. Again this is not our issue that you did not leave yourself enough time. Another oversite on your behalf, as we clearly do not advertise that we provide housekeeping on Sundays or Public Holidays, this is also displayed on the tent side located on your dining room table in the room, although on occasions if we have staff on they will ask if you would like some tea coffee etc, but do not service the rooms on Sunday. Our records show that this was declined. I will not be spoken to disrespectfully by anyone this includes your partner, whom would not accept that you had read the email and responded to it!!!!!!! and wanted to ague. Below is a thread of email that occurred between yourself and the motel, please note the second paragraph on the email sent 24 March 2021 Mr Anonymous-Graeme, In response to your phone calls from yourself on day of arrival and your partner on Sunday afternoon. I have forwarded a thread of emails between yourself and the property, which took place prior to your arrival, starting on 24 March 2021 for your accommodation booked for the night of Saturday 27 March 2021. Correspondence via an email was sent to you on Wednesday 24 March 2021 (3 day prior to your arrival) clearing stating in the second paragraph where key collection will be for your booking at Breeze Inn, obviously you DID receive this as you replied to this email on Thursday 25 March 2021 about the rooms you booked. So you can understand why we are a little confused about the phone calls made to the property advising us that you had not read your emails or know where to collect the key from, and your partner indicating that you don’t check your emails every day, and this not a satisfactory means of communicate, and by not advising you of this arrangement prior to arrival we made you late 30 minutes late for a wedding, records indicate that based on the email send to you in which you replied to if you arrived at 2pm for key collection you perhaps would have arrived at your wedding on time (key was collected between 2.35 – 2.45pm).
