This is a place to unplug and reconnect with nature and decompress from the busyness of life. Custom designed and beautifully handcrafted, Willowbrae Chalet is a warm and inviting West Coast escape featuring dramatic flared cedar log accents inside and out. Inside, a stunning handcrafted log staircase leads upstairs to a spacious loft bedroom with a king bed, as well as a queen bedroom with an ensuite. Please note these two upstairs sleeping areas are connected by a shared entryway. The upstairs ensuite includes a stand-up shower and a charming clawfoot tub — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Downstairs, the chalet offers an open-concept layout with a recently updated kitchen, booth seating for family meals, and a cozy living room featuring a propane fireplace and vintage smart speaker for ambient music on colder evenings. The sofa also folds out to sleep an additional 1–2 guests. A full bathroom with a tub/shower combo is located just off the kitchen. Step outside onto your large private deck, tucked into the old-growth forest, where you’ll find a covered hot tub, outdoor dining table, and a BBQ for the grill masters at heart. With forest views from every room, this chalet is the perfect retreat for couples, families, or small groups looking to unwind in nature. Important Notes Before You Book Upstairs bathroom and bedroom access: To reach the upstairs bathroom and second bedroom, you must walk through the queen bedroom loft space. Fireplace: The cabin has a propane fireplace (not wood-burning). Laundry: The cabin does not have a washer or dryer. There are local laundromats available in Tofino and Ucluelet. Host Rules: We’re in the exciting process of preparing for the addition of a fifth cabin on the property (completion, spring 2026). You may notice some light construction activity during the day as work progresses. We’ll do our best to keep any disruption minimal, and no work will take place in the evenings or on weekends. Interested in a group booking? This property has 3 other cabins located on it which can sleep up to 18 guest if you rent all 4 cabins. Please contact Tofino Vacation rentals if you are interested in booking them all. Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation. Age min: must be 25 years or older to book. Guest Limit: As per Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of 6 guests (including babies and children) are allowed. If a reservation exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to ask the guests to leave. During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps. If you receive a "host unavailable" message despite seeing availability, please contact us. Our booking system has specific rules and may require manual adjustments. 3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays. Pet Policy: Dog friendly after owner approval. Please let us know about your dog with the reservation request. 2 dog max! Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals! Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30 day cancellation policy. If you provide us with the 30 days required notice you will receive a full refund (minus any pesky booking platform fees). If you cancel without the required days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation. Accidental Damage Protection: Accidental Damage Protection is included in the total cost of your reservation—there is no additional fee after booking, as it is automatically applied at the time of purchase. This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay. Please note: This protection does not apply to damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, or negligent behaviour. I have now stayed in both the Halfmoon Bay Cottage and Willowbrae Chalet and I couldn't speak enough about how beautiful they both are, attention to detail in the cabins is HUGE and everyone is so sweet and kind before, during and after my stays. I have dogs and it was crucial to find a pet friendly cabin where my fur babies could curl up in front of the fire and relax but still be a drive or walk away from the ocean. We really enjoyed our time in the cottage. Everything was super clean, the terrace with the whirlpool is a dream and the whole apartment is furnished to a very high standard. The directions and access to the house via a code are very easy and we were welcomed with a friendly personal letter and a delicious greeting. We also really liked the fact that we could do two trails from the hut to the beach. We can only recommend this house and even with three children it was pure relaxation. Thank you. ##### Matthias S. WillowBrae was clean, well equipped and had high quality amenities. The small touches didn't go unnoticed and really appreciated. This property is in an excellent location with amazing beach access to Florencia Bay within an easy 10min walk. The whole property is quite, private and even with other guests in the other cabins truly feels like you're the only one onsite. The stand out amongst this all was the amazing customer service - from booking, all the way through departure I was impressed with the personalized service and ease to be able to contact the Tofino Vacation Rentals team if I had any questions.
