The Forest Sweet Retreat was the perfect little oasis. The place was cozy, clean and thoughtfully stocked with all the amenities. The private hot tub and wood burning sauna were highlights for us after a long walk on the Wild Pacific Trail with our dogs, which we could access by walking from the property. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The space is equipped with every amenity one could wish for, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We particularly loved the vibe of the property, and its proximity to the charming town of Ucluelet was a bonus. The nature hike paths nearby are a must-visit, showcasing the area's breathtaking beauty. And to top it all off, the hosts were exceptional - a sweet message and snack basket greeted us, plus they were available to answer questions to ensure our stay was perfect. The amenities (bedroom, seating area, bathroom) wonderful. The hot tub and sauna amazing, including several outdoor seating areas. We were able to charge up our EV on arrival and wished that we’d brought our dog to enjoy all of the treats and thoughtful gestures left to our disposal. ##### IAN W. We were traveling as a family of three with our four year old and he loved having his own space with the day bed in the living room and we enjoyed having our own space to enjoy inside or outside once he was asleep. As a senior with less-than-youthful mobility, I found the steep driveway, uneven stairs, and rickety handrail quite unnerving. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, and there was only one semi-comfortable chair to sit in. Not a good place for someone with an aching body to relax with a good book. If I were young and painfree, I'd most likely stay here again, but as a senior, I won't. ##### Judy H. The hot tub and sauna are such a treat. The property itself is just a little oasis and perfect for a quiet, relaxing few days. The owners live upstairs and we’re super nice, respectful and helpful. It feels hidden in the woods. I went with my spouse and our young adult son. It is really better suited for a couple on a romantic getaway. We will come back for that! With three of us and a dog it was comfortable but a bit crowded. We had a mix up with VRBO not sending the code to the lockbox in their welcome email and when I went to the VRBO app to try to find it there the buttons in the app didn’t work. Possibly user error. It turns out the code had been sent to us two months prior in the manual for the place, but we didn’t know that at the time.
