South Beach Ocean 4 | Condo, Partial Ocean View!

South Beach Ocean 4 is a two-bedroom, two-bath condo located on the south end of Tybee, just steps from the beach. Great location for a vacation since many restaurants, shops, and the Tybee Pier and Pavillion are within a 1-2 block radius. Beach access is located at this block! There is a side ocean view from the private covered balcony, which is furnished with a table that seats 4 and 2 bar height chairs so you can enjoy the view.


The living room has a 32 inch Flat Screen TV, DVD, and is comfortably furnished, and includes a Queen sleeper sofa. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking during your stay and has a breakfast bar seating for two. The dining area has a table for 6.

Bedroom 1 is furnished with a King bed, 32-inch Flat Screen TV, and the room has an adjoining private bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a 32" Flat Screen TV. There is an additional full bath in the hall, along with a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience.

Covered parking is located on the ground level. This condo is Unit #4, located on the second floor, on the far right of the building. There is High-Speed Internet / WIFI in the apartment.


NOTE: Larger SUVs may not fit in parking spaces - especially during peak/ high seasons.

A perfect location and beautiful unit

We very much enjoyed everything about staying at Tybee Island, and a big part of that was staying in this unit! Clean, close to the beach, very comfy and spacious.
Beautiful sunset from the patio.
Beaches were clean and nice. Busy in the weekend but not as much during the week.
Bright, clean space.

Great beach getaway!

Love the closeness to the beach, pier and shops. Condo was clean and spacious enough for our family of four. Quiet area at night. And it’s nice to look out at the parking lot to judge how busy the beach would be. Parking underneath the condo is nice too.

Read the fine print

So, the fine print in TVR's contract advises that check-in during peak season could be after 4:00 pm if the property is not ready. My ETA was 4:30. I noticed at 4:00 pm I had not been texted the code for the unit. I called TVR and the property was still being cleaned. Upon arrival at 4:30, there were vehicles in the assigned space and I still hadn't received the code. I called back and at this time, I am irritated after driving so long and sitting here just waiting. The staff were extremely nonchalant but basically said they understood my frustration and are keeping an eye out for when the property would be ready. About 15 minutes later, I received the code. Simultaneously I was already speaking to VRBO about the issue. VRBO is a third-party and has no control over the property administration however luckily my agent took an extra step and contacted the property on my behalf-(I believe this is why TVR eventually half attempted to rectify the situation). I asked for a later check-out by the hour that was wasted and the property declined. They refused to compensate the difference on my trip as well. Eventually they offered a gift card to a local restaurant. I asked how much and they wouldn't tell how much they intended to provide. We ended up on the phone with a manager and I asked that the gift card be at least $50.00. She didn't readily agree but said she would see. I picked up 2 $25.00/ gift cards for a restaurant that evening from the dropbox. She did oblige despite apparent hesitancy. She made it clear that their contracts specify that check-in at 4:00 pm is not guaranteed if cleaning etc. needs to occur. The property itself was as expected however the tub was dirty and the carpet was not vacuumed(I took pictures/date/time stamped) so I'm not sure how much cleaning really occurred. The location was good for the beach. The food at the restaurants was mediocre and most of the restaurants tack on additional gratuity into the prices so be mindful. It was what it was-we made the most of it and enjoyed the beach. Overall, I wouldn't return to the island-it just wasn't for us. This property was overall decent. If you're okay with the unknowns surrounding check-in and have visited before-it could work for you. It was my first and last visit. There are tons of property management agencies out here and a few hotels, so if you're not willing to wait around for property cleaning-you may want to consider a hotel or another company without the fine print.

Clean and Very Close to Beach and places to eat and shop!

Upon arrival we were more than pleased. Everything was perfect and had accommodations to the fullest. Very easy to book and really enjoyed the fact that they had an App for our stay. Checking out was a breeze, just a simple click on the provided link and you are on the way! A must rent for family beach time.

Great location, OK Condo

The location is fantastic! The condo and furnishings are very outdated so the overall feel was dirty. We did not sit on any interior furniture during our stay...we just slept in the bed. The bed lines, towels, TP, and paper towels are very cheap. We did not receive the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, lotion that was advertised in the listing. We did not get a text when the condo was ready to check-in like we were told...we just took a chance and went in after 4pm. We found a sock and a makeup brush in plain sight so we questioned the cleanliness of the unit. If you just care about location, this is the place for you.

We enjoyed the room and all the amenities. Looking forward to our next trip! Only wish that they would not have set the timer for the lock code sooner than our check out time. We had a keyless entry access code to get in the room and it stopped working the night before our check out. FYI the condo is pet friendly but pets are prohibited on the beach.

Nicely decorated condo but much too much over-head noise!!

Condo was fairly well located but very, very noisy from condo overhead. I'm not sure if it was caused by badly behaved children in the condo above or poorly constructed structure or a combination of both. It was so bad that we checked out a day early. Running of little feet began between 7:00-7:30 each morning and lasted off and on all day even though we left for the beach by 10:00 or so but we don't want to be waked up at 7:00 AM while on vacation!! I would not recommend this condo.

Sand on counter tops. Dried food on stove top, light did not work in fridge. Floors didn't feel like they were mopped, but property is close to the beach and convenient

love it

this was our first time to Tybee island and we really enjoyed it....the condo was very nice...clean and comfortable..we loved the porch and could see the sun rise ...very close to beach ...loved we were able to bring our dog she loved the porch as well...Tybee has great restarurants...and love the fact it is mostly home town people that own the shops and restaurants....no big chain stores or fast food...we will return again...we planned it perfect in comparison to the hurricane...no bad weather...and being so close to savannah was nice....
