It's unlike anyplace else on the mountain because the property is so open, beautiful and peaceful. Cabin 8 is a beatifully furnished, spacious studio cabin with a full bathroom, and full kitchen with all the basics as well as a gas fireplace. We work hard to keep the original structure of the cabins, which were build in the early 30's. Inside, the cabin is tastefully decorated. This historic cabin is nestled on a peaceful, secluded 4.5 acre property that consists of a large open field (unusual for the mountains), a forested area, a barn and several other cabins. The property is tucked away behind CA 189 so you feel like you're remote and secluded yet it's only 1.5 hours from LA and close to shopping and restaurants. Enjoy the sounds of birds singing in the morning and owls hooting at night. You may hear coyotes at night and spot other wildlife in the area. There's lots to do in the area: winter sports, hiking, and activities at Lake Gregory and Lake Arrowhead. For the adventurous, there's hiking & off-road trails ranging from easy to difficult nearby and we are just 10 min from one of the best paragliding sites in the world. You're welcome to wander the property including the barn and the areas around it.
