It is in the process of being renovated. I honestly would have been okay with the property if the bed had not been TERRIBLE. It was the hardest mattress I've ever experienced and the squeakiest springs. It made for two terrible nights of sleep. We did not complain to the owner because I felt like there was no immediate fix. But I was literally looking for another place to stay the second day to try to avoid repeating the first night. It was pretty rough. But the owner was lovely. Hopefully, he'll switch out the bed and that will solve the issue. ##### Katie M. I recommend this host and this listing to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable stay, at an affordable rate. The room I rented was well kept and renovated in new modern look. Clean in the inside. This is the kind of space I needed while Traveling through. The host was very communicative, prompt with replies, and checked on me during my stay. Free wifi was a plus. Overall, I was satisfied. The only critique I have is the clutter in the carport (maybe cover it with a tarp or place in a shed) and Tuskegee is a small town with lots of abandoned buildings. The neighborhood was quiet. Really enjoyed double shower heads. Shared kitchen space. Quiet neighborhood within 5-minutes driving distance of Tuskegee University and only 30-minutes from Auburn. Came in late and there were motion activated lights along the side of the house leading to the back entry. Loved that feature because my phone light wouldn’t have been enough. Owner has a room on site, very responsive and wants to ensure your comfort. Lovely home for single room rental or an option for a larger family to rent a larger, adjoining room also with its own full bath.
