This is our new favorite place to stay for games in Tuscaloosa. It’s only a mile away from the stadium, so it’s walkable or use Joyride golf cart services. Great amenities, quieter than places closer to the strip, and very friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommend.

The lobby/suite/common areas were beautiful and clean. The staff was extraordinary. The location is perfect. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. The ONLY negative I have, and it’s a big one because I ALWAYS look for a pool (& hot hub when possible). A pool is a must have. We walked to the pool area to take a look and the pool was AWFUL! It was cloudy, not clear. It looked disgusting. And unfortunately we did not get to enjoy the pools.

When I checked out, the desk clerk could not give me a print out of my room charges. She said I need to get it from Expedia. I explained I paid for the room at the hotel, and that I had additional charges from the restaurant. She printed something that said $0 due , but could give me a breakdown of any charges or a receipt. She then picked up a call and started helping someone else. I never received a receipt. What kind of service is that!?

The lobby and reception area are beautiful. The breakfast and dining areas are excellent. The room size and distribution are good but the tub area in the bathroom needs to be improved. The table shower was broken, so I had to wait until the maintenance guy came to remove it. Nobody came to refill the coffee in the room. At least should have coffee 24 hours at the lobby,

The staff were all very nice and professional. The room was clean. The bathroom was partially clogged and drained very very slow. The shelf in 'closet' was broken and unable to hold any of my items.

We have stayed at this Embassy Suites several times, but the hotel is now in need of a lot of TLC. Our room wasn’t very clean & the shower didn’t drain properly. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

Everything was great from check-in with Ondre to the quietness of the hotel to the daily breakfast served. The only issue we had was that we had scheduled housekeeping for our second day and when we returned back to the room in the evening housekeeping did not come. Normally not an issue but we really needed more towels.

We stayed in room 401 for our anniversary and when we woke up to get ready for church the room had no hot water so we were unable to take a shower and had to leave immediately so we had time to go home and shower inorder to make it to church. When I called to let them know what happened, she said I should have stayed on site and given them an opportunity to fix it, but i did not have the ability to wait around on them trying to fix the hot water if I wanted to make it to church. She said she would have a manager call me back, but it never happened.

Not what I expected.
The first room was not clean. There was dry urine around the toilet, there were dust balls everywhere and countertop was dusty. We were offered a new room and points for our inconvenience. The second room was better. The carpet had red stains all over it. But it was cleaner than the last room. At least the beds are comfortable. The hot tub is out of commission so please don’t book if you want that luxury. Also, the pool wasn’t as clean as it should be. There are broken chairs sitting at the bar table in pool area. Pool or room isn’t heated as well. The complimentary drinks at 5:30 was cool. Was advised that the hotel will be having renovations in the near future. Just not what I expected for a high end hotel in Tuscaloosa with the school and all.

Wanted the jetted tub that we paid for.
We specifically booked a room with a jetted tub. They did not have any jetted tubs. Disappointed that the advertising was misleading. Please don't offer a jetted tub if the hotel doesn't even have jetted tubs.

Room not ready at checkin time! People at checkin desk unresponsive to needs. When I went back to desk at 4:15 was told would put me in another room and not charge me for upgrade….. room was exactly like the one I reserved a week before. Really! Not gonna charge me for the exact room and I’m the one being left waiting after an all day drive! I usually stay here when I go to Tuscaloosa but because of the treatment from staff I will not return!!!
