It was very clean. The people were nice. We did have a slight confusion on who was checking us in and which entrance we were to use this was all resolved quickly. Fortunately, we did need to get up early and get going. The street noise at 7am would have you out of bed regardless. The noise from the train wasn't an issue at all for us. Me and spouse would stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone passing through. ##### Chris T. We came to bicycle the Mountain Goat Trail in Sewanee, and Cowan is very closeby. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the house was beautiful and inviting. Tom made us feel welcome, and the coffee and donuts for breakfast were delicious. From the lobby to the backroom and the dining hall to the kitchen area, it was beautiful. The Gammon room we stayed at was also beautiful in how it was designed and presented. My daughter really enjoyed looking at the artwork created by Rachel. Checking in was a little rocky because of multiple entrances and no cell services, so arrange a meeting with the host to get the keys ahead of time.
