We have come to Tucson for nearly 20 years in the late winter to get out of the cold and into the sunshine. We've tried out a variety of neighborhoods, but our favorite is in the general area west of the university and north of downtown, near 4th Avenue. The house was just a block away from both 4th Avenue and downtown which was terrific. We walked to most places in the area, but it was great the streetcar was right there too. Marcus was a wonderful host. He responded exceptionally quickly to the couple of questions we had and we very much appreciated the parking place he provides in the front of the house. The house itself was quite comfortable. The mattresses on the beds were incredible. We both have occasional back trouble, but no problems here. We slept better here than at home. The bathrooms were updated and there was plenty of hot water. The kitchen was well stocked and we made use of everything in it, cooking in on many nights. The only drawback is that there is no dishwasher, but for a vacation it wasn't a problem. The backyard patio area was also wonderful. It is spacious with a nice table and chairs. The only surprise was that from time to time during our stay there were additional people staying in the carriage house at the back of the property, but we would have never noticed them except for a few comings and goings.
