It sits in a very peaceful little dip with all-day sun. There is heaps of parking for cars and boats. It has oodles of character, and the bar area really makes the stay, giving you a whole extra 'playroom'. The kitchen is spacious and great for dining in, and the lounge, whilst compact, has what you need, including a comfy sofa bed. The owners are close enough if you need them (we didn't) but you have all the privacy you need. There is even a heatpump/aircon, which you don't expect in a rustic property. There is also acres of outdoor space for family fun and games, so even though the back isn't large, you always have plenty of room. The sea is just down the road, an easy walk, with surf beach 10 mins one way and boat launching at kennedy bay 15 mins the other way. Remember to bring in what you need as there are no shops nearby. Overall, a fabulous Kiwi find! ##### Jonno L. Decent sized tables for dining - inside and outside. The rain saw us reading, playing board games. Smart TV was there for Netflix. Good Wi-Fi. Went for walk to rocky beach. The photos don't do it justice. It was perfect for our family and dog. Lots of running around space. Beautiful beaches ten minutes in either direction. You can't go wrong. The owners are very friendly and laid-back but give you your privacy. Although, if neighbouring Ruru is also booked you look straight at each other's decks so some extra screening between the two properties would be ideal. The beds were comfortable.
