"Beautiful property and excellent staff"

"Our group of 10 just left Allamanda and we were all very sad to leave the gorgeous views and cool breezes from the nearby coast. The home itself is gorgeous. Beautiful decor and very well-appointed. One thing we didn’t realize from the pictures is that the rooms are sort-of outside. When you open any of the bedroom doors, you step out into a long, open air hallway. It feels like you’re not all staying in the same house for some reason. Just information that some may find useful. There is an abundance of comfortable seating both inside and out. I would suggest cushions on the dining room chairs because the lip on the fronts of the chairs is really uncomfortable on your legs. Also, on the big, white sectional outside, I think pillows against the back would be wonderful since everyone in our group kept plopping down to sit and we would bang our heads really hard on the framing of the top of the sofa since it’s just fabric on top of wood. Mrs. Kerr’s cooking was unbelievable! She gave us a real taste of Jamaica. Crystal, Michael, Kingsley, and Pamela kept the house in tip-top shape every single day and our driver Juna was amazing. The owners are the best I’ve ever worked with. So, incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed before our arrival. Stay here! You won’t regret it:)"

"Old school classic"

"We’ve never felt so safe or well taken care of than the month we spent with Mel and his staff. We opted not to rent a car and have Mel and/or Marsha take us to various beaches, excursions, restaurants, clubs and, really, anything we wanted to do. On top of that, if there was anything out of the ordinary we wanted, Mel always “knew a guy.” The house was very comfortable and the view is outstanding, any time of day. We cooked a lot and barbecued our own Jerk Chicken over a fire with wood from the property. My son proposed to his girlfriend on this trip and another couple joined us for a week as well. They all had the time of their lives. A few friends opted NOT to come because of US State Department warning but there was never a second we didn’t feel safe. Once they saw our Facebook posts from our trip, they were sorry they didn’t come. This is the way to experience Jamaica…Enjoy!"
