Perched right on the main walk in the Village at Northstar, you won't find a more convenient location at a better price; best of all, the studio offers all the comforts of home, from cable TV to Internet access to a nicely equipped kitchenette. The studio-style condo has two comfortable queen beds, making it perfect for a small family getaway or two couples traveling together. Walk to the ski lifts, or to the movie theater just down the street. The Village's ice-skating rink is steps away, along with world-class shopping and dining. The nearby NPOA Recreation Center offers year-round swimming pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, and workout facilities (the guest passes provided in the condo allows you access to all of these amenities for just $2/day). While you're surrounded by amazing dining options, the condo has a nicely stocked kitchenette so you can prepare light meals and snacks. You'll find a coffeemaker, mini-fridge, and microwave, along with wineglasses and a corkscrew so you can linger over a long conversation and bottle of wine in the evening. Just across the street is a gourmet deli and taqueria, so you can easily grab a quick dinner to enjoy in the comfort of your condo after a long day's explorations. There is one full bath as well, and a cable TV with DVD player. Enjoy the views of the slopes and mountains above right from your window, or step out onto your Village-view patio to soak up the sights along with the fresh mountain air. Skiing couldn't be more convenient, and in the summer Northstar features downhill mountain biking from the gondola as well. Northstar's golf course uniquely offers a 'mountain nine' and a 'valley nine' to challenge your game. Truckee is just two miles away, and Kings Beach/Lake Tahoe are just six miles. The whole area is served by public buses that connect to Northstar less than a block from the condos. One private parking spot for the condo is in the closest lot at Northstar. THINGS TO KNOW Access to the recreation center amenities costs an additional $10 per-day fee for each guest five years or older. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. This rental is located on floor 2. Dock details: Public docks available in Kings Beach. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) It worked for us because we were on the slopes most of the time. Oct 17, 2025 Liked: Check-in Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy The absolute worst stay of life; no security with broken door locks for many days, electric overloaded daily so that the choice had to be to cook or stay warm w a wirking heater, and accept that the tv wd shut off sometimes; all with no option to reset a breaker except by a manager (not maintenence staff) and no emergency on call maintenance. When the power went out on a Friday evening we were told it may be Monday until the breaker could be flipped back on. The entire new digital lock and door knob had to be replaced because even the physical key as backup would not work. There was no way to lock the condo door from the outside when leaving. We also requested a rod to secure patio door because there wasn't one even with adjoining balconies. When we expressed our concern about our safety and our security of our things especially due to one person having disabilities, two very well meaning maintenence staff tried to reassure us that nothing bad ever happens there, and we would be safe. We appreciate the reassurance but have been broken into before in nice neighborhoods. After many days there was still no offer to relocate/refund our stay. More problems; no bathtub stopper, cable malfunctions, all onsite restaurants were closed after being told they wd be open, elevator inoperable during checkout which, if was scheduled maintenence, was awful timing for disabled person. The only positive was the kind onsite staff. VRBO/Vacasa/Owners shld communicate & refund, but nothng yet. ##### Tracy T. You don't see them all until checkout and it feels like a bait and switch. Property is in a good location. It's a simple room, but good for a ski weekend. Except for the parking situation I would recommend it. On the day you check out you must move your car (far away or pay for premium parking closer). This negates the advantage of being so close to the slopes - especially if you only stay for one night. Other properties in this building allow you check out in the morning and to park in the spot until 4pm so you can ski all day. This one does not. Vacasa said this is policy, but I did not experience this at other Timber Creek properties this season. This made the location less attractive. ##### Trent J. The mini-fridge, microwave and toaster are also great if you want to bring some simple breakfast with you.
