Located mid-mountain at Northstar and offering unparalleled luxury, service and convenience during all four seasons, this is a property for those that desire the ultimate getaway or family vacation. The hotel, built in 2009, features beautiful architecture throughout. Amenities include a 17,000 square foot spa/fitness center, exceptional dining options at Manzanita and the Backyard BBQ, a wonderful children's program, and much more. Located steps away is a seasonal gondola that takes you to the Village at Northstar that features a 9,000 square foot ice skating rink during winter (roller skating during summer), and a variety of dining, entertainment and shopping options. We cross-country skied, snow-mobiled and backcountry snowshoed. This place is at the center of it all. The condo is very comfortable - the heated floors in the bathroom say it all. The owners were great - slight snafu at the check-in process was graciously handled and all was well. Because this isn't a Ritz-Carlton rental, the front desk needs confirmation from the host and the hotel staff hadn't gotten it (but the owner had sent it.) The hotel was really nice and they treated us with top notch hospitality. Aaron, the property manager, was very attentive to our requests and made every effort to make our stay something to remember. Our friends and family were impressed as well. Our 2nd night we brought our boys up to enjoy it, the bunk beds were a hit, the arcade on the lower level of the hotel also was a great addition. We spent some time both days in the heated pool and hot tub. Cooking was easy with cooking supplies at hand, and they had multiple choices for coffee makers, our favorite being the barista style coffee maker. Well appointed rooms throughout. Deserves 4.5 stars but the system does not allow it. The owner went out of his way to be helpful and be accommodating - it was much appreciated. Property is exactly as advertised and pictures are accurate and current. Actually its much nicer than the pictures and the service is what you would expect of a Ritz property. All three bedrooms were sizeable with plenty of closet space. Living room was of excellent size. The daily housekeeping, room service, ski concierge, etc is exactly what you wish for in a holiday. Although it was part of the hotel, this is a full fledged apartment so you never feel you are confined in a hotel room. Reason for the 4.5 and not 5.0 rating is (1) the hotel really only has one restaurant so after a while, if you do not want to go to the Village or drive, you are restricted and (2) the apartment overlooks the back of the resort (facing the Village gondola) which does not get much sun and so so views. Nevertheless, if I am coming back to Tahoe with my family, I will be looking to book this same apartment again from Mr Lamstein. Great time and great memories! HBG ##### Hazem B. I found this and thought it was a little too expensive. I searched and searched and kept coming back to this Property. I decided to Splurge and treat my family and myself to something nice.. WOW! Nice doesn't even come close to describe it. Amazing, Spectacular, Crème de la Crème! Would be a better description. This had EVERYTHING! The owner Aaron is Great and easy to work with, and has taken all the hard work out of renting. This had everything we needed and more. We were even able to cook a Full Thanksgiving Feast. The Ritz Accommodations are top notch. Ski-In Ski-Out is literally what it means, then they valet your board or skis and even put your boots on warmers for you. Anything you need just ask, The Ritz and this Property has Everything you and your family or friends could possibly need. One lesson I learned is that the Ritz has its own Lift ticket sales and board rentals, no need to go to the village and wait 2 hours in lines to get what you need! Must Do's: If you have kids do the free S'mores at 4:30, Use the floor warmers in the bathrooms, call valet before you go ski or snowboard and they will have you stuff waiting for you in the snow ready to strap in and go, get access to the club lounge for at least 1 day!
