When planning to travel during the winter and summer months, it is highly recommended to consider obtaining Airbnb travel insurance at the time of booking your accommodation. Winter weather conditions in Tahoe can have heavy snowfall. By securing travel insurance, you can enjoy the reassurance and financial protection it offers in case of any unexpected events or disruptions caused by the snowy weather. Winter Snow Season We highly recommend 4-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicles during the snow season. We provide a driveway plow service and shoveling for pathways; however, snow may accumulate between service times. The property is in a quiet, end-unit location, just 10 minutes from Truckee and 15 minutes from the lakeside. It’s perfect for summer biking, hiking, restaurants, and events. The house is beautifully designed, with a cozy fireplace and free shuttle service. The property management was also accommodating and easy to work with, which greatly enhanced our stay. However, there were some challenges. We stayed in July, and it was very hot. The unit lacks air conditioning, and the upstairs never cooled off. Larger floor fans would have helped, as the rotating ceiling fans didn’t move the air well. There's no bike storage except under the stairs to the front door, which was inconvenient. The layout includes many stairs, both from the parking lot to the unit's front door and within the split-level unit, which might be challenging for older guests. One of the outside stairs was unstable, and the railing caused splinters in our hands. Due to HOA rules, we couldn’t use the BBQ, which was a disappointment. We also found it inconvenient to log into VRBO app messages due to Wi-Fi issues on VRBO’s end. We wished we had a texting option for easier communication throughout our stay. Overall, the property offers many wonderful features and a prime location Despite the challenges, the beautiful surroundings and convenient location made our trip enjoyable. ##### Wendy J. Close to grocery stores, the lake, hiking, the resort--it really is a good location. This place had everything we needed! We enjoyed playing some of the games in the closet, and the kitchen was very well stocked, loved that for cooking some meals. The showers have great water pressure, and the stone decoration is cool. Karla our host is super helpful and responsive during our entire stay. The condo is very clean, nicely decorated and fully equipped that has everything you need. The location is perfect for our purpose and it's only a short drive to grocery stores. It's very close to the nearby beaches, hiking trails, parks, etc. I highly recommend this place.
