Great Location, Cozy Cabin

The cabin was so nice and cozy and it had plenty of room for our entire group. It was also fully stocked with kitchen supplies and various spices. The location was excellent and the free shuttle service was perfect for going snowboarding at Northstar. The host was incredibly responsive and checked in to make sure everything was alright. I'd book here again! Highly recommend.

The home was spacious, even for 3 families with kids. Proximity to mountain biking and Kings Beach was perfect for our group.

Excellent location! Nice cabin for family stay!

We spent 5 nights with our kids and our friends at the property. It is a great location! We were enjoying short shuttle rides from and back to the village to snowboard with kids and skate after 4 pm. We spent a nice moment at Christmas! The owner was very attentive to our needs.

Best VRBO ever!

We had a huge crew and the house was perfect. Most well stocked rental I have ever stayed at, tons of room, lots of beds, everything we needed and more. Great sledding hills behind the house for the kids. Perfect place for families!

Warm, clean, and comfortable home.

Great Property. Excellent Owners

The house was close to Northstar. Owners were easy to work with! Only some minor issues with the home (showers didn't function properly and one of the bunks were rickety) Other than that, it was a beautiful home and I would gladly stay there again.

Awesome home, location, & communication

We had a great stay at David's home. Excellent communication throughout, with easy check-in and check-out The house was even bigger than pictured, with plenty of space and beds for large groups. Great location less than a mile away from Northstar Village. The shuttle service was quick and effective. David was gracious and flexible with check-in and check-out times. Overall we had an awesome time and hope to be back soon!

Great home for multiple families!

We've been going to North Tahoe for years and this was a great home for our large group. We were a group of 4 families and this was a perfect house! Great, big upstairs with a huge deck and then bedrooms to accommodate everyone (and extra sheets, blankets, etc.). The shuttle to Northstar village is super convenient and will come pick you up easily. Access to the NPOA with swimming pools and hot tubs was great as well. The price was great and we weren't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. Would definitely come back!

Terrific vacation in the ideal Tahoe location

Our family had a fantastic stay at this cabin over the new year holiday in 2014-2015. The home is right in the Northstar resort, with easy shuttle access to the northstar village and a large network of hiking trails, sledding hills, etc. The home has an open kitchen that is fully equipped, a large great room and huge fireplace that warms the whole place. We were there with our young kids and another family and had plenty of space. Thee is even a gate at the top of the stairs for the young kids. The owner was super responsive over email and text, both before and during the stay. We loved our time in Tahoe and hope to be back at this house again during our next visit!

Great Family Gatherings

SPECIAL PLACE! We stay at the cabin many times and children called it "The Snow Home". I love the location, shuttle to take you down to the village to ice arena. The cabin is roomy and can accommodate number of people and activities. We cook Thanksgiving dinner and the kitchen had everything you need to cook and serve big dinner. Plenty of room for kids to play and adults to sit by the fireplace. I love open areas with windows all around facing snowy forest outside. "The Snow Home" is a real home so much more than just a place to rent! I love it!

mountain house

The house was great for our large family. Plenty of beds and a well stocked kitchen. Only problem in kitchen were the knives. We cook a lot and they were really useless. The family that lives in the area brought knives for us. I suggest a sharpener be in the house. The neighborhood is very quiet and there are some wonderful hiking trails with in walking distance. Short drive to the grocery store and the beach. A good time was had by all.

Great rental for young family!

Our family had a great stay at this cabin right after the new year. We had two families of four staying, both with young kids and had plenty of room. The cabin was in great condition with everything you need for a short stay. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials, including spices, condiments, etc. that you normally don't find at rentals. The shuttle is right at the door and we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for them to come. There are games for the kids to play, two TV areas for kids/adult separation and even a baby gate at the top of the stairs! Very pleased with our stay! Thank you for the wonderful gift basket & bottle of wine as well. What a very thoughtful and generous owner! We'll be back!

Northstar Charm

Enchanting home with many conveniences and space. Our family of ten stayed for five days. Our children were between the ages of three and five and eight adults were present. We skied every day. The free shuttle bus took us to the lodge and back for jacuzzi fun and skiing. Kids made snowmen on deck and walking path below the cabin was beautiful and we found the perfect private sledding spot. The kids had fun carving out their own sledding trail. We look forward to coming back in the summer because Kings Beach is right up the road and so is that national park we hear so much about. Truckee is just fifteen minutes away and I'm sure my husband would love to see the town.

Great cabin for large group!

David’s cabin was perfect for our mini getaway for my boyfriend’s birthday for a large group! My bf and I arrived early Friday morning with the plan to snowboard at Northstar before the others arrived. David was great with letting us check in early so we could park at the cabin and utilize the free shuttle that took us to the village so we wouldn’t have to deal with the parking madness. It was perfect! The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed for our short stay, clean, and spacious for our slightly larger group. There’s a little slope on the side of the cabin that we used to sled and tube down. We all had a great time and the kids asked to live there (lol!). David was extremely responsive and helpful in answering all of our questions. We definitely want to come back!
