"Our lodge was great. It was clean, in really good condition and warm and cosy. The reception staff were really helpful and able to answer all of our questions. I'd recommend staying here if you want to stay outside of the city centre. The location of the property was great, a 15 minute walk away from the Arctic Cathedral and a short bus ride into 'Central' Tromsø. If you are travelling to or from the airport and not hiring a car, and it's snowing heavily, I would highly recommend a taxi. Although the taxis in Tromsø are a bit of rip off (circa £30 to the airport), the distance from the lodges to the nearest bus stop is a few hundred meters, and dragging cases through snow was not fun and was hard work, as we found out when we arrived. We made sure we booked a taxi (which can be done in reception on a tablet) back to the airport. "
