The age give so much character, and the furnishings keep you in touch with the age of the home, done with extremely nice taste. The only issue I had was with the bathrooms. One shown in the listing isn't available, and happened to be the largest. They don't tell you that it's upstairs and apparently used for only the owners. They're also working on the very tiny back yard, so it was unusable. The neighbors are very nice! I would tell you about walking distance to downtown, but we won't discuss getting back up that hill afterward. It's a hike! If you're older, beware. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the front porch is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the cool evening breezes. We all felt the home was well supplied with not only the necessary supplies, but lovely treats and coffee were left for us in the kitchen. I hope we have the pleasure of staying at Maple House again.
