We notified the host, who responded that it had been out the night before as well, and assured us it should be back on soon. However, the power remained out throughout the night and was still off the next morning.When we followed up, the host stated that the neighbor's power had returned, so ours should be on too—yet it wasn’t. Her information about the outage was unreliable, and we were left without the ability to charge important devices, including medical equipment. While the host did bring over batteries and a lantern, which we appreciated, it didn’t resolve the bigger issues—no heat, no hot water, and no way to charge necessities.We understand power outages are uncontrollable but, we discovered the neighbor was actually the owner of the rental and had power via a generator. Despite knowing we were without power, the generator was not connected to the (rental) house. The level of disregard was especially frustrating. Additionally, the ceilings are extremely low—something we were only informed of after signing the rental agreement.
