Close to downtown, restaurants, Amtrak, highways. Nicely decorated, large comfortable rooms, outside sitting/dining area. Three room a/c units kept the place cool though it was nearly 100 during our stay. The host had turned the unit on before we got there so it was cool when we arrived. I grew up in the Trinidad area, so actually knew one of the previous owners of this house, so can appreciate all the effort that has gone in to keeping it up. There was nowhere to stay in Raton, so this was the next closest thing. This house ended up being perfect for us all. Had plenty of room, cute and charming inside and outside. Nice porch to sit at in the evenings and in the mornings. Nice little back patio as well. The house was fully stocked with all the necessities, very clean, & beds were comfortable! Particularly liked that there were lots of coffee options and plenty of utensils for those who (like me) like to cook their own food. It’s exactly like the pictures in the listing - Clean, spacious, and accommodating. We particularly enjoyed spending time on the wraparound patio.
