Nuevo Albergo Centro is described as a basic hotel. And it is. The hotel is a good value and located in a newer (i.e., 19th Century) part of Trieste, two and a half blocks from the Grand Canal, close to the commercial area and with good restaurants in the neighborhood.
The Nuevo Albergo Centro occupies one and a half floors of a five-story building; what Americans would call floors two and three. The hotel section is relatively new, and the building is probably two hundred years old and shows it.
