Grand Hotel Trento

"A very nice older hotel with character. It is well maintained and very clean. We stayed in room 407 for three nights in September, used the AC the first night and it was fine but slept with the windows open the other two nights, not much noise at all. Could only find two English language channels on the TV but not really an issue as we were out most of the time. Internet access was good. There were two electric car chargers in the parking garage, I asked to cost to use them and was told it was a flat rate, I told them my car was a hybrid and that it did not make sense as the rate was for full electric cars, I was again was told it was a flat rate. The hotel should consider another way to charge hybrid cars, while we were there the chargers were mostly not used so you reduce revenue for the hotel and don’t support customers needs, not a good idea. The breakfast is good, lots of choice. The area around the coffee machines needs to be reorganized as is busy and too cramped. After people leave breakfast the tables they are cleared and reset quickly but the table is not cleaned down properly prior to resetting. The bar area is large but not appealing, the decor does not match the rest of the hotel. Would be worth spending some money to make the environment cosy and welcoming. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in Trento, driving access is fine."

"Stayed in the hot tub suite. Hot tub was clean and a large size with beautiful views of the mountains and the castle. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel itself was central to the train station and attractions. We stayed for the wine festival and had a brilliant weekend. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was decent with lots of cold food options. There could have been more hot food. I was surprised to learn that the spa entrance is not included."

"The staff was outstanding—friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, with everything we needed. The location is fantastic. I would have given it five stars, but the breakfast was below average. It could have offered a little more choice, and the staff could have been more attentive when items ran out."

"Great parking, expect other people don’t know how to park (leaving 12” of the car out into the lane makes backing out hard) so it can be tricky. Bed was more comfortable than in Italy so we were extremely happy to get some sleep. Breakers was nice, very continental and the BEST Eggs ever! Actually cooked instead of runny eggs. Will definitely book again for our next trip!!"

"Breakfast was great, waitstaff very friendly . Not very walkable area to town … also parking was an issue for our car we actually had to park across the street and down the road because during their dinner hour there are lots of outside guests. We did arrive to check in and the tub had garbage and hair in it . Hot tub on balcony was very nice … beautiful views from the terraces, however you have the noise and exhaust fumes from the road. Find it interesting they placed their spa there to relax by the noise of the road."
