Poor quality of room service and POOR Menu which we had to send back Staff has an attitude that they do not make errors so we had big arguments about wrongly prepared food

Close to train station, historic center of Liepzig. Great city...a must to appreciate its architecture and how well buildings have been preserved.

Old Towels and Bathrobe. Room was dusty, toiletries not enough for two. We asked for a small plate, utensils, cups and teaspoons they didn’t gave them to us for use, poor service! Website pictures of swimming pool looks very nice but in reality it not that nice, the water is too cold and we have to pay for using the pool. We were very disappointed! Sorry to say that this Hotel is not recommendable.

We would like to apologize for the inconvenience and assure you that this is certainly not our standard. We have internally evaluated your point regarding the cleanliness of your room. We optimize the work processes on a daily basis and ensure additional quality controls. We have discussed your case with our cleaning company and the people involved and defined new approaches. We would like to formally apologize for the resulting room impression.We would also like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by the lack of service. It is our goal that our guests can leave our house in a good mood. We will forward your message to the appropriate department and improve our service at this point. It’s understandable that it is not common to pay separately for our SPA entry. As a company we want to be fully transparent with our pricing.Since 1 July 2015, the Federal Ministry of Finance has introduced the standard VAT rate of 19% on sauna and swimming pool services in hotels. Free use for hotel guests is therefore no longer possible. For this reason, we have chosen price differentiation and have not allocated the price as a lump sum, but only for actual use. Additionally due to the rising energy prices we would be forced to increase our room rates massively overall for all guests. So our management has decided to leave it up to the guests if they want to use the SPA area. It is not our intension to overprice the roomrates. We understand those are difficult times and we are doing everything we can to maintain the SPA area and keep it open even though we are battling the increasing costs. Our fitness area with the Westin Workout is still available to our guests free of charge.We have evaluated your comment internally and have already initiated appropriate measures. Dated hotel with hidden charges
Very dated hotel. Not up to standard for this top end brand. On check in was told that our room was next to the lift and was very noisy. They could upgrade us to a quiet room for only Euro 15. Twin beds in every room. No tea and coffee facilities in the room. Charged you Euro 5 for every individual visit to the pool. Picture of the hotel was taken with a very special lens as it was much smaller in reality. Many other nicer options.

I loved this hotel! It boasts great views of the city and the food/room service is excellent, due to the two Michelin-Star Falco restaurant inside hotel. Great for runners, sits right on park.

The Westin is well located - just round the corner from the main station and close to the centre of Leipzig. The rooms are a good size and there is plenty of wardrobe space. You get free WiFi (although on our recent stay it was out of action for one day). The downside is that the rooms no longer have a fridge/mini bar - I've stayed there several times and a couple of years ago the fridges were removed and replaced by a area in reception that sells a limited range of drinks etc. Personally I'd much rather have a fridge in the room. There are also no facilities in the room to make tea/coffee - but it's still my favourite of the three Leipzig hotels I've stayed in.

As a new concept for the future, it was decided within our entire hotel group to no longer run minibars and to replace this with a holistic market place concept next to the reception. There you will find a larger and cheaper selection of quality products and drinks. Many of our guests appreciate this change. If you still need a refrigerator, please let us know. We will bring one to your room. Tea and coffee making facilities are available upon request. However, we will take your comments into account for future consideration. Good value for money but no real queen bed
We were positively surprised about the room which looked much nicer on the inside than what you might think when looking at the hotel from the outside. Seems to have been renovated not that long ago. Just the bathroom door is a souvenir from the old days. Very friendly staff, easy check in and good location. The only minus is that we booked a room with a queen bed but it was actually a room with two single beds moved together. After asking at reception I was told that all of their beds are like this. So be aware of that since I would have not chosen this hotel if I would have known that before.

The location is excellent, within walking distance to major attractions. The room cost is very reasonable. However the room maintenance can be improved eg the glasses were not cleaned, and one was even cracked so could cut into the lip. The bed is extremely uncomfortable because of the rubberized pad on the mattress making it hot like an oven so I could not sleep until I removed it.

Great hotel, close to main train station
Great hotel, only 200 meters to main train station in Leipzig. Will stay again. Disliked having to pay €5 to use the gym though.

Very nice hotel, up high above the noisy streets. Breakfast overpriced. Don't try to get coffee to go, they had no idea how to do that.

I enjoyed my stay at the Westin in Leipzig. The hotel is located in the city center. Many attractions like the zoo, the opera building, the Gewandhaus, the Thomas church are in walking distance. The room was very clean. The view from our window over downtown Leipzig was marvelous. On December 6th ( St.Nickolaus day in Germany) we had sweet surprise in front of our door. I would definitely stay again at this hotel.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. However the location was a bit sub-optimal, with only a few restaurants nearby. There were also no tea & coffee-making facilities in the room and no easy way to get coffee.
