Pictured here, with the green exterior, is Lakemore Cottage. Lakemore Lodge is the red house. The Cottage and Lodge are luxury homes built in 2015\. The Cottage sleeps 12, but no more. The Cottage and Lodge are side by side and offer exactly the same amenities and floor plan, just with very different interior design. The properties are rented individually, but many families rent both for the same time period, altogether sleeping up to 22 people comfortably. This efficient open floor plan includes vaulted ceilings with post and beam details, a warm and cozy stone fireplace and an airy screened porch dining area adjacent to a vintage style kitchen. In the cooler months, the screen porch has heated tile floor, making it enjoyable all year round. The Cottage will give you a sense of nostalgia, rekindling memories of vacations from your childhood. Come enjoy the many benefits of this all sports inland lake where the 395 acres are swimmable from May until October, the fishing is plentiful and the conditions are perfect for many water sports including kayaking, stand up paddle-boarding, water skiing and tubing, all while being minutes away from Traverse City’s restaurants, shops, wineries, golf and more. On-site tri-toon rental is available within the Lakemore brand. Lakemore Retreat is directly adjacent to The Brown Bridge Quiet Area which offers miles of hiking trails. Like to snowmobile? Leave right from the property and access Boardman Valley Trail System's 81 miles of trails! Boardman River is also within 3 miles, a great place to do river tubing, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. We are only 7 mi. from Vasa Single Track, a great Mountain Bike trail system. In addition, the Vasa is home to 25 km of groomed cross country trails. Mount Holiday is only 15 minutes away, a local downhill ski hill that also offers snow tubing and zip lining. Crystal Mountain Ski Resort is only 30 miles away. Stayed here for a weekend away with a bunch of friends, we loved the amenities of the property including a hot tub, lakeview, and games down the basement! Also loved the proximity to Traverse City- only 15 minute drive! Tricia was extremely accommodating and accessible through the whole trip. 10/10 would recommend for family or friends getaway. An absolutely amazing home!!!!! We loved this home and truly enjoyed ourselves and the owners have thought of everything to make your trip wonderful. When I say they have thought of everything I mean EVERYTHING. From the moment you book the house the communication was amazing, check in was easy and worry free, need any type of cooking utensil - they have it, need music - they have Sonos throughout the house, forgot your USB cord - don't worry they have extra, forgot your coffee - they have fresh local coffee available. Simply amazing home with everything you would need to have a great trip. Our stay was in February and it was great. Heated floors in the patio room and heat on all three floors. Excellent communication from the host. Thank you Tricia for helping make our family vacation a success. The property is fantastic. Pictures don't do it justice. Upon entering the house, I was immediately impressed with the layout and quality of materials used in construction. Numerous details exceeded my expectations; heated floors in the sun room, a mud room leading out to the hot tub fully stocked with clean beach towels, robust floors and tall/wide doorways that give you a feeling of luxury that is hard to put your finger on. The builders clearly knew what they were doing. The property is managed well. We stayed in the winter. All outdoor paths were clear and well-maintained. The steep one-lane road to access the property was completely dry and cleared of snow. It was looked better than some of the major high-ways I took to travel there. The location is unique. It was fun to get out on the ice to ice-fish and build snowmen with my boys, but I am fantasizing about staying at this place in the summer. There is a fire pit in the back that is essentially level with the water. I was imagining sitting by the fire on a warm summer night, seeing the water glistening in the sun set just a few body lengths away. You just have to see it to understand how special this place is. ##### Aaron P. We loved this cottage and the beautiful lake just steps out the back door. Our family spent a week boating, swimming and enjoying the water, which was clear and warm off the sandy beach or pier. The house was spotless and very well stocked with all basics. We really only had to buy food, drinks and fire wood. Tricia and the Lakemore team were very responsive and it's clear a lot of care goes into the property and guests. We absolutely loved Lakemore Cottage and will be back! ##### Heather S. We found this gem and were lucky enough to find availability with our schedules. Everything was seamless from check in to check out. The staff were visible and taking care of the property while we were there and always made sure we had what we needed. The arcade and pool table were a huge hit with our crew. The place was spacious enough that everyone could have their own space when needed. The doors are all solid and kept sounds within the house at a minimum.
