The photos showed a picture of a TV and a good selection of dvd’s.However, the TV wouldn’t work because there was no HDMI cord. What a disappointment when we had decided to watch a movie on one of our nights there. Also, we knew the shower was outside, but it would have been nice to have at least warm water. A cold shower isn’t the way we like to start our day. My husband braved it, but I had to pass. There is no running water in the cabin that is really a shed with electricity. This property is close to Stone Mountain and relatively close to Elkin if needed.Their is agas operated shower in a bath house which was wonderful. The codes worked well to get in I love the tap light next to bed.The parking area was ample as I have a full sized pickup. Heard turkeys and saw other wildlife .Love the chair in the front and read and drank coffee. There is a water machine that gives you hot water or cold cold water out of the same machine. The place is very private especially the deck out back with the grill. I loved the area. All country and acres around the house. Beautiful. The tiny house had everything a person could want or need. They had plenty of water, dishes, glassware, silverware, mini freezer/refrigerator, coffee (Keurig), sugar, etc. They had games and puzzles and a sweeper vacuum, and plenty of DVD movies I really enjoyed. Now they have an outdoor shower with hot water and shampoo and soap dispenser! Towels provided too. And they provide plenty of wood for the firepit. My dog loved the yard.The bed was comfy too.I am so glad I didn't go camping as it was hot and humid and their air conditioner was wonderful. The second night I was there, they had a torrential downpour for over an hour. It was like a waterfall! The cottage has great scenery and it was lovely walking on the property. It was incredibly peaceful on rainy days, and the stars were breath taking on clear nights. The owner was kind enough to volunteer bringing in an AC unit for unseasonably warm nights. I found him very easy to reach out to, while otherwise we had a lot of privacy. The kitchen had everything needed for grilling, microwaving, and simple food prep. The outdoor bathroom had lights for use at night, and was easy to use overall. The bed is on the small side, so my husband opted to use the futon bed. It was very easy to set up. If you don’t like firm bedding, but want to use the futon, we’d recommend bringing a topper to make it more comfortable. For those with mobility limitations, there were no railings on the back steps, but only one step in front, with nearby beams to hold onto. I found it easiest to go out the front to use the restroom, since it is a very short, flat walk. This was the perfect place for getting out into nature while still having electricity and basic comforts. ##### Angela V. The place was very clean and well decorated. If you can get over the bathroom situation, which was still pleasantly surprising; then this is a great spot for a night or two. Get back to the basics! We enjoyed the location and views very much. Cozy tiny home with beautiful town and privacy, great for bringing a dog. Loved the amount of technology and what was provided. For future bookers, just know that the bathroom situation is definitely rough, which they did warn us of. It is a basic camping toilet without water, so staying for several days and around bugs makes it tough, but right for a camping experience. Other than that everything else was absolutely perfect, the hosts went above and beyond. We highly recommend this beautiful haven for anyone that loves gorgeous views and peacefulness in an amazing rural town (with the nicest people too!).
