It is located just two miles from Stone Mountain State Park, in the Yadkin Valley Wine Appellation in the heart of NC Wine Country, home of the Blue Ridge Parkway, the NC foothills, and overlooking the Roaring River as far as the eye can see. Just what we needed for our annual trip to drive to mtns to pick out and purchase a Christmas tree from a choose and cut tree farm, plus get some xmas shopping done in West Jefferson NC and drove to the town of Sparta and also drove through stone mtn state park to see Widow falls and seen some deer also. it was a bit cold so we did not use the grill but the grill was actually cleaner than most other cabins we have been in but could use new burner covers and grease from bottom cleaned out. Glad there were some extra salt and shakers available to use due to the one above the stove had bugs in it which i did dump in trash. Other than that cabin was nice and cozy. The unit we stayed in does not have a view of the river… Just a view of the building in front of it but it is nicely decorated. It was very dusty, causing me to sneeze and be congested while I was there; if you have allergies, it’s probably not the best option. My husband ended up dusting several areas of the unit while we were there. The side door would not lock. It was held closed with a chain so the door could still be cracked. Although the air conditioning unit worked, it still did not cool down the cabin very well. The bed is reasonably comfortable. The Wi-Fi is spotty, so just be aware that your phone may or may not work while you were there the washcloths and towels or thin and rough.The restaurant is wonderful on the property and I highly recommend it! That's exactly what we got. Every morning, with a cup of coffee, we would seat on the porch and end up watching the trout in the river under the covered meeting area. At night, we would enjoy the silence of the night with the sound of the river .. so relaxing.We signed up for the Cloud Wine VIP membership, because we enjoyed the property so much.We highly recommend you stay at this property or one of the other lodging options on the premises.Almost forgot, the wine and food are incredibly tasty. ##### Wes S. Serendipity Cabin is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. The location along the river is idyllic, and the cabin is very private. Even though the cabin is a studio, the kitchen is well stocked and has everything you might need. We appreciated the proximity to Stone Mountain State Park where we hiked and fished.
