![Esztergom is a pleasant Hungarian town situated on the Slovakia-Hungary border. Štúrovo is the town on the Slovak side of the border, which has an ethnic Hungarian majority.

On a small hill overlooking the town and the Danube is a Cathedral, which is the largest in Hungary, and the site at which the Hungarian king Vajk (Szent István) was baptised. The adjacent castle complex is also worth a look.

You can easily get here by bus or train from Budapest. Alternatively, you can take a train to Štúrovo which is on the main line between Budapest and Bratislava. "Our stay in the hotel was very pleasant, reception staff polite, ready to help. Room clean but not everyday service. Excellent food. really excellent. Nice spa. The problem in the room was not tightly fitted door, that is why there was noise and cold by wind and rain. The room was changed."

"The hotel exceeded our expectations, our room was clean, comfortable and had a lake view. The staff was kind and professional, especially Georgina, who helped us find an excellent room after the first one they assigned us only had a partial view of Lake Balaton. The SPA was also great, but what really impressed us was the abundance of varied, special and delicious foods. I would rank the culinary experience, what we had in the hotel into the top five out of the hundreds of hotels we have stayed in worldwide over the decades."
