It is a large studio cabin that has just been completely renovated. All new appliances, a large shower, a sofa, an entertainment center, and even the beds have been replaced. It is definitely set up just for a couple with lots of romance and privacy. But... if you must bring a little one, the sofa makes into a bed as well. This beautiful little cabin is located in the Timberwinds Resort in Townsend, TN. It is nestled in the trees at the top of the mountain with a mountain view. (During rainy or snowy weather, it may require a 4-wheel drive to access.) The whirlpool bath is perfect for that evening soak after a long Smoky Mountain hike. Or jump in the hot tub for a relaxing time. The kitchen is fully equipped for making a quick breakfast or a gourmet dinner. The cabin has a Keurig that uses both loose grounds and pods. The open floor plan allows you to enjoy each other's company while cooking and watching movies together. Timberwinds Resort is well laid out so that each cabin has it's own privacy. There is a seasonal community swimming pool and a large cabana that our guests are welcome to use. This area is quiet and very convenient to the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We, the owners, along with Smoky Cabins, want your stay in our A View for Two to be everything and more! All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies, and these little buggers are attracted to heat, meaning your cabin and every other one out there that is warm! They will swarm to the cabin, and you'll probably see them alive/dead on windowsills, in vents, etc. Rest assured that your cabin has regular pest control and is professionally cleaned, including bug removal, before and after your stay. However, these bugs come back right away, and unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about them until the season passes. Please never feed, taunt, or approach any wildlife. This is their home, and we are the visitors. \*There are no refunds for storms or power outages. If there is a power outage, there will be no water and potentially no heat. I would have preferred a laundry area instead of the jacuzzi, but the hot tub, gas fireplace, and gas fire table more than made up for it. There is a convienent laundromat in Townsend and it only took about an hour to do our clothes. We loved watching the sunrise in the morning, and the shadows of the sunset against the foothills in the evening. Easy access to Cades Cove and other Smokey mountain areas. Short drive to Pigeon Forge, but we didn't have to fight crowds for meals so it evened out. Kitchen area is adequate for simple meals. I didn't care for the memory foam top on the bed, but it didn't keep me from sleeping so it wasn't a big deal. The furnace wasn't working when we got there, but we called the office and someone came right out to fix it and we didn't have any other issues. We would stay here again. ##### John F. Two things to consider; we did not realize the mountain was so high, you will want to drive a truck or suv with four wheeled drive; also the ONLY upgrade that would be nice is a more comfortable mattress or topper. If the view isn’t impressive enough then the amenities will blow you away and if that’s still not enough then the Townsend area will “seal the deal”. It was the perfect relaxing vacation spot and for all you honeymooners out there it’s nice for that too. It had everything we needed and the managements great response time was extremely helpful. This cabin is definitely worth every penny and we will be coming back again! ❤️ P.S. Like in other reviews we had read you need a AWD or 4WD vehicle. We kept our truck in 2WD the whole time and had no problem, but it never hurts to have the later option. ##### Abbie F. The cabin was immaculate and the view on the back deck was breathtaking. Our stay was during the COVID pandemic and we didn’t feel the need to go out anywhere because we felt like we had everything we needed right there.
