I arrived at this property on 22nd March after 10 pm local time only to be told my booking has been cancelled due to pre authorisation declined.
I had to make alternative accommodation arrangements with the help of the receptionist on duty.
Someone by name Andrea from Expedia Canada called to examine the issue and provide a solution to the problem.
Andrea promised to send me email to attach my payment for the new hotel accommodation. But the email never came.
I arrived back in London, UK , yesterday 27th March. To date Expedia hasn't shown any empathy or interest in at least compensating for the inconvenience caused to me.
I'm still waiting for someone to take responsibility for the appalling and unacceptable treatment i experienced on a very cold snowing night of 22nd March 2024 in Toronto .

Bed was not comfortable and very hard. Room and bedsheet had very strong smell of laundry bleach.

It was not a bad experience, the staffs and service were great but the property needs a lot of renovation, it’s just so off putting. The building has a very weird smell and the room as well. It was manageable since I just needed a place to stay for the night.
On here the pictures of the room lie. They show a fireplace and a room that has space to move but in reality its a bed and hard to move around it. No fireplace. When i asked i was told that they just use stock photos. And when i checked in the woman checking me in didnt believe my name was my name because i have a unisex name and she said "No its a female name" its very insulting to be treated this way.

Hi Mr. Miller,Our apologies for what happened. The lady who checked you in is a co-op student and also new employee. We will talk to her and make sure this won't happen again. A s for the room we have rooms with King size bed on fourth floor which are more spacious. Next time we will give you a complimentary upgrade to one of those rooms.
It was just a quick overnight stay but the employees that I did run into were very pleasant. The room was very comfy but extremely hot so if you are worried about not being warm enough, don't! lol I was able to shut the heat down making it comfortable to me. I was very impressed with the continental breakfast. The pastries and fruits were very fresh. The price was reasonable and I would stay there again.

Bed was comfortable. Were sent to a room in the dark, down rikety stairs. We are both disabled and no one asked if we were, and we didn't know we were going outside in the cold and dark to find our room. Also, noise of adjoining rooms woke us up through the night.
