First of all, we rented both the upstairs (3 bedrooms and 2 baths) as well as the basement apt. The basement apt. SMELLED like cat urine. The LL did try to help with the issue. He had an infuser brought to the property as well as febreeze and incense. With no matches, the incense was useless (as we do not smoke and had none). The stench was still in the basement and the result is that my daughter and son in law could not sleep there. They slept upstairs and my son ended up having to sleep on the couch. And since we only had two bathrooms (as opposed to 3) for six people, this was VERY difficult to maneuver! We were in Toronto for a wedding and the bathroom was a VERY important element of our stay that we needed! The sink in the master bathroom easily backed up and needs to be cleaned out with Drano or something similar. And one of the master bedroom windows did not have a screen in the window, so we could not open this without bugs flying in and out.
The location was great, however, we had to "adjust" our stay relevant to the issues that I have just shared with you. We should be rebated for not using the basement apt. at all and the inconveniences that we ended up going through. Feel free to cal me to further discuss this. Thank you.
