It has all the elements to get off the grid for a bit while still providing all the creature comforts you could want in a vacation home. The home is stylish and comfortable. Nantahala Lake itself is gorgeous and surrounded by mountain views. The home is just a short walk from the boat launch making lake access easy and convenient. If you like to be away from everything and be in solace while enjoying a fishing trip than this is a nice stay. Be prepared for no wifi and poor cell service. Me and my son stayed in this home for the purpose of fishing on the lake and knew it was in the mountains. Driving wise, make sure you have AWD/4WD. Some locations will be hard in a sedan or sports car. The lake is beautiful and the scenery is amazing. Very remote location with limited cell service and wifi. Curvy, mountain roads with limited visibility especially at night. Beautiful lake. Nice weekend get away. Easy check out process except we had problems with trash disposal. Check out instructions require all trash to be taken to local landfill. But the landfill is only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This was not mentioned in the check out instructions and left us scrambling to dispose of our garbage bags with no cell service. Our only other complaint is that the house was very moist/damp and could benefit from a dehumidifier during the warmer months.
