Run down motel with musky rooms, paint pealing off walls, hot water shuts off sporadically, 'Free breakfast' advertised is only 2 types of cereal, coffee in a flask, banana and orange. Photos are photoshopped to show bright rooms and reception. We had booked and prepaid for 17 nights, but only stayed in the hotel room for 2 nights. Worst experience.

This is a "get what you pay for" motel,not alot of frills, but bed was comfortable enough, iur king bed only had three small pillows and when I requested two more the obliged.... for the money we spent I was very pleased!!

For $65/night, it was acceptable- not outstanding. The room did not smell of smoke! That was very important to us. The shower & sink were very slow to drain.

I checked in for one night in January and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The room I got had chips in the bed and the pillows were yellow and filthy. I went down to the desk to switch rooms, not too happy because I was exhausted and it was cold outside. They gave me a different room, which i appreciated. However, I had left some items up in my original room and had to go back to the front desk to have them let me back in to the first room to grab them. They did. Then I realized that I had left my cell phone in my first room and had to go BACK to the front desk to have them let me in again. The guy working the front desk actually said to me "You've already been back in here 2 times ma'am", as if I was doing something wrong. Guess what? I wouldnt have HAD to come back to the desk at all if I had been placed in a room that wasn't dirty! Another employee did apologize to me for his coworker's behavior when I checked out the next day, but I don't appreciate being shamed for having to deal with an inconvenience THEY caused. I'll never stay here again.

Had to take room on 2nd floor with outside steps and entry. They were updating lower floor rooms. No elevator. I am slightly handicapped, so I don't recommend for HC folks. Otherwise everything else was okay. Very small room though. Expedia app said breakfast included, but there was no breakfast.

I was here out of state working. It stated it had breakfast at 6am. The photos are very deceiving. The breakfast was grab and go at the office. The office was not open some days at 6 or 7 am.

The staff were amazing and doing the best they could in the situation. But when I arrived for check in I was informed they didn’t have working room keys so each time I wanted to get in the room I had to get in touch with them to be let in. Was staying in town for NYE so was obviously going to be coming in late at night. Which I did inform the staff of when I checked in and they again did their absolute best to accommodate but it still wound up with me waiting in the cold to have my room I paid for unlocked. If this had been communicated somehow I probably wouldn’t have booked here and I would hesitate to do so in the future.

We had some problem with our key card machine and could not get it repaired for 4 days. We have always maintained to serve the guests as quickly as possible.We did not keep you waiting more than 2 minutes and quickly served you.

I've stayed in my fair share of motels over the years, but this had to be the worst experience I've ever had. The place was ok, not great, which was what we expected, all we needed was a place to crash and get some sleep for one night. The trouble started around 2:00 AM, loud jumping and stomping around in the room above us, then escalating to yelling. We tried calling the front desk, but no answer, got dressed and went up, it was locked --apparently they don't staff the place at night and no one monitors the phone! We tried sleeping again with loud white noise turned all the way up, but it didn't help. The yelling turned worse and it sounded like they were arguing and possibly on something. We finally called the police, and that helped for a little bit (the cop was also surprised the front desk was closed) and couldn't get the people in the room to answer. In the morning we tried to see about getting a refund, but the lady at the desk didn't have the power to do that. We asked for a call from management... it's been two days and counting and no word back. Very frustrating, we just wanted a safe place to sleep and couldn't even get that!

Despite what the listing says, there is no free breakfast. Given this was the reason I selected this hotel, I’m not impressed.

The Econo Lodge is a good budget motel. Close to restaurants and grocery. 5 min. drive to KU campus. Our room was clean, modestly updated with new flooring and shower area. Working ice machine, vending and laundry. Room heat/AC worked great. Mini-fridge and microwave included. Manager was very friendly and helpful.

Great, economical stay
Obviously this is an economical stay, but I thought it was totally good for the price. The service was good, the room had a fridge and a microwave, the bed was comfortable and the owners/managers were friendly and helpful. I would recommend.

Pleasantly surprised!
The front desk staff was very friendly at check-in. I was pleasantly surprised to find the room was in perfect condition - everything was clean, the furniture was in good condition, the bed was very comfortable… I could tell the room had recently been renovated with freshly painted walls and upgraded bathroom amenities. It was very quiet, and the housekeeper was very friendly as well.

Stay was okay
Upon entering the room, the floor was extremely sticky. The room also had a nasty smell. (Thank God I had febreeze in the car). In the bathroom, the tub was dirty and the floor also had not been swept. The sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. You get what you pay for.

I was very pleased with Econo Lodge!!!!! Thank You
I go to different hotels and motels every other month. I was so pleased with Econo Lodge! They went over and beyond to make my stay satisfying. I was very pleased to see the owners making rounds to make sure everything is ok. I felt very secure. I left a tip for the stay because it was so nice. Thank you for a very nice stay at Econo Lodge. NO BUGS EITHER!!! I even stayed with my service dog and had no issues.

It was fine...
It is definitely a dated hotel but they have tried to make various updates to the bathroom. The room was dark due to the small windows. The pillows were pretty bad. I'd be fine staying here again but would be waaaay more likely to go somewhere else for $25 more/night.

We have pest control in place and are constanting monitoring so we do not have this kind of problem again.Sometimes we are away from the front desk attending to other guests but we never closed until Midnight to 6.00am 7 days a week but are on call 24/7 for all our guests.

The Desk Clerk was checking you in but you had come in early and as previous night we were sold out ,there was not a clean room available and the Desk Clerk was checking with the housekeepers which rooms they cleaned so it can be allocated to you. Worst place I’ve ever stayed
The first night I was there, someone tried kicking the door in. I called the front desk and let them know. I had to call back to make sure they got him cause no one called me to let me know the outcome. It was a drunk man in the room next to mine. The second day there, I was sitting on the bed and a man opened the door but thank goodness it was dead bolted. I called the desk again and was told it was pest control and that they let him know it was an occupied room and don’t know why he walked in. Tried to let them know that it was unacceptable and they just said “sorry about that” I will never stay there or recommend this place to anyone!

I have no real words. The first room I was given was already occupied. The second room assigned had a non-working lock, so I moved a chair to keep the door secure. If I was going to stay longer I would have changed rooms for a third time. The WIFI wasn't strong enough to watch T.V. or use a computer. Just not a well maintained establishment.

Brought suits. Knew there was a pool but it was closed. Like permanently covered. Bed was a little hard. Woke up with a backache. Didn’t eat at the desk bc it had some dirt on the top. Desk chair was all torn up. Tv signal kept cutting out all Night and it wasn’t storming or raining. Remote wasn’t programmed to work the tv so two remotes. One for cable. One for volume. Breakfast was apparently just cereal so we just went down the street and got donuts. But we had picked this place bc it had breakfast.
What a mess.

Good place to rest and sleep.
Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. Satellite TV had been knocked out by overnight storm the previous night but staff were able to reset it and get it working within 5 minutes. Safe and quite setting. Very limited continental breakfast -- dry cereals, coffee, and milk. Very easy access from Interstate. Gas stations and full grocery within walking distance.
