I really don't understand why there are so many bad reviews. This hotel is great for the price. The staff is always friendly and the hotel is clean. The beds are comfortable, very comfortable. We will continue to stay here every time we go to Topeka.

It was surprising that towels were not changed daily. There was no maid service at all. Ice and soda machines were always out of order or had no ice. The closet doors and bathroom door collided, prohibiting free access to both at the same time. There was ceiling damage above the shower head that was poorly or partially repaired. A towel rack kept falling off the wall. The toilet didn't flush properly and was loosely anchored to the floor.

This was one of the best rated properties on the Expedia site, but I soon found after I arrived that the rating was bogus. After I arrived, I read the individual reviews to figure out how it could receive an 8.4 out of 10 rating. There were a lot of 4/10 and 2/10 reviews, but they were offset by a slew of 10/10 and 9/10 reviews that must have been submitted by a robot because they were almost all identical. I don't have any comments about the staff, but the property was very run down. It didn't appear too dirty, for the most part, except the bathroom floor and walls needed to be wiped down and cleaned. I was surprised that the breakfast was actually pretty good, but the rest of the property deserves a 4/10. The rating given on the Expedia site blows the credibility of their rating system. I'll be more careful next time.

I stayed two nights in the past two weeks. Both times when I came down for breakfast the entire counter was taken up with employees, eating talking and laughing loudly. I felt like I was in the middle of the break room. After the first experience, I really questioned whether to stay there again and chose to stay. I don’t think I will stay there again. It just seemed very unprofessional and didn’t seem like they were getting the job done for the guests.

Beware, the pool is only seasonal/and or was being repaired. The room where we stayed were not as the pictured on the site. The bedside table light lamp shade was ripped, the window was gross and dirty, our room faced a Hooters bar, and there was no area for children. There is an onsite bar that was closed. There was a person on the main road when you turned in asking for money. I have stayed at many Wyndham hotels in the past and this by far disappointed me of all the properties. When we found out the pool was closed we were unable to change hotels. They took the fee for both nights upfront.

We were supposed to have a non-smoking room. The room reaked of smoke. Some of the doors had holes in them lkke they had been hit. The room did have a fresh coat of paint and the mini frig and TV looked new.

It is an older building but well maintained. The rooms was spacious. They have patio doors which was very nice. We were there for a while weekend and found it to be very quiet. All of the staff were incredibly nice. It's super convenient as it's located right by tons of food places and stores. The continental breakfast is small but very good. The beds are very comfortable and I actually like the pillows. Lots of television channels to choose from. There was a large mini fridge not like the normal cube size ones and a microwave. The only thing I didn't like was that it had carpet. We would definitely stay here again you cannot be the price and the kindness.

Although the room was a bit dated and dark, it was clean and well kept. The bathroom has been updated in the last few years and was clean. Bath towels were a great size. The only negative was the lack of outlets by the bed. The bed side lamps and alarm clock took up both outlets, so one of those had to give to charge my phone. Other outlets in the room were old or didn’t have outlet covers, and my chargers fell out of some of the outlets. The desk area could have also used some more outlets and light. Bed was comfortable! Breakfast was good too!

Kind of a dump. Worst hotel renovation I’ve seen in awhile with incomplete and bad paint, ratty carpet and poor plumbing. Hot shower randomly turns to a cold trickle. Only one small soap provided that we had to move back and forth between sink and shower. No shampoo provided but plenty of conditioner. Building has no elevator which makes luggage transport to second floor difficult unless you are traveling light. I’m convinced the good reviews of this place were done by chat bots and not real people.

I would call the rooms “tired”. The rugs need cleaning. The holes have been filled but left unpainted. There are hardly any outlets. The toilet is very low. The toilet paper is rough. There are signs all around the property to not leave valuables in the car—- difficult for travelers to take everything inside! I would not stay here again, even if the price was cut in half (which btw, was a ridiculous price for the room). Sorry. This hotel needs an upgrade.
