"This was a last minute booking made when our preferred booking was cancelled, after being confirmed more than three months earlier, apparently due to overbooking??? On arrival, the toilet was broken and dirty. The room wasn't secure as a window locking mechanism was broken. And, for most of our stay the internet wasn't available. "Great little hotel away from all the hustle and bustle of town. Daily buffet breakfast at Little Italy was fulfilling. Boys enjoyed swimming in the pool to cool down after a day of sightseeing. Regular house keeping by our lovely hosts. Rooms have everything you need to accomodate your stay including AC!!! Free wifi was an added bonus. Thank you Tropical Villa for making our stay mesmerising."

"The staff, including the restaurant are excellent. I can't say enough of the warm hospitality that was offered me throughout my 2 week stay. The hotel is well situated to lively nightime food options, walking along the waterfront, and close to town. The hotel is a little tired, but it also had its charm. Do yourself a favour and book one of the rooms facing the water - evenings on the patio taking in the ambiance are well worth the few extra $$ (versus a room with no balcony). Will definately go back to the Emerald. Thanks to the staff - wonderful!"
