Sonoma Coast Villa

Sonoma Coast Villa

8/10 Good
"This was such an unexpected treat to stay at this location. My husband and I did a quick getaway trip, The property decor is reminiscent of an old Mediterranean Villa. The sounds emanating from the water fountains was fabulous! It put you straight into a relaxed mood. The staff greeted us with a cold glass of Chardonnay & on a hot day it was perfect! Yes, it was most unusual weather for this area. Hot! Over 100 degrees several days this week. There is a pool on the property from afar it was inviting but upon closer view. It needs repair as the bottom of the pool was peeling away from the layers of concrete. But still, my feet were swollen, so I did soak the in the cool water. This is not to discourage anyone from staying here because it still is worth the experience, for example weather permitting there is outdoor movie night and they provide the kit to make s’mores in front of a fire. So romantic! All the room have a balcony for no xtra charge. The free breakfast was a full and yummy too. Rooms were extremely large. Yes we would stay again because we didn’t plan on swimming anyway."

The Inn at the Tides

The Inn at the Tides

10/10 Excellent
"The room was clean and spacious. We were on the second floor so the ceiling was vaulted which made it seem larger. The bed was very comfortable. The outdoor pool looked nice and big even though we didn’t use it. You must walk (or drive) across the street for breakfast at their restaurant. The continental breakfast was free but you could order off the menu for a discount. The restaurant is nice with a lot of window seating to overlook the bay. The receptionist was very nice and helpful and he said someone was there 24/7 when I asked about a later arrival."

Tomales Bay Resort and Marina

Tomales Bay Resort and Marina

8/10 Good
"Great staff and beautiful location. My room was big, but could do with renovation. I wish it had A/C because there was a major heat wave going on, something that is exceedingly rare in West Marin. I understand why they don’t have A/C, but I wish there was one during my visit. Would I go there again? Yes."

10/10 Excellent
"Front Desk staff, I think his name was Gerardo, was extremely helpful. The cleaning staff was running behind and our room was not ready when we arrived for check in, The situation was explained and after some work arounds, we were able to check-in. Given the circumstance, and because of the Labor Day holiday rush, he had to jump some hoops to fix things on our behalf. Kudos. Our room was clean and fully stocked to Motel 6 levels. Overall, we had a pleasant stay."
