I stay Shangri-La Hotel Tokyo every time I go to Tokyo. This time I booked a room with Horizon Club access. Check-in, cocktail time and breakfast were all enjoyed in a different atmosphere than usual.

This was our first visit to Japan and we have traveled extensively in the past ten years. Friends recommended Shangri-La so we stayed overnight when we landed in Japan before heading to Kyoto and Hiroshima. We checked back into Shangri-La at the end of our trip for three more nights in Tokyo before flying back to the US. The positives about this hotel are too numerous to mention. The service provided by every member of the staff is impeccable…truly next level. The hotel facilities are beautiful and perfectly maintained. As newcomers to Japan, we hadn’t known in advance how much we’d rely on the bullet trains to move around the country and Shangri-La is right next door to Tokyo Station (the hotel lobby is on the 28th floor so it’s high above the bustle of the street and the trains…and the views are wonderful!) so it’s location is excellent! The concierge is incredibly helpful in planning dinners and guided tours and the hotel restaurants are excellent if you want to dine in. Shangri-La is a six star hotel on every dimension. We’ll be back!!

Overall the property is beautiful and impeccable, which one would expect from Shangri-La. I had been trained/treated by other Shangri-La hotels with small daily touches such as chocolates, notes, etc.. There were no such daily gifts at this Tokyo hotel which seemed like a small miss. That said on the negative side, the cleaning staff bent a new USB cable that was left plugged into the outlet and we were not notified. Fortunately we were able to straightened and it still worked.

Check in was ok, but both restaurants were closed and i was not told nor offered any compensation to make up for it. Room service food was really poor. Internet and airplay was really glitchy. Spa was lovely and frankly the best part of the stay.

Fabulous Hotel
Tokyo Shangri La upholds the high quality, comfort and service that is associated with the Shangri La name. From the moment I stepped into the hotel the staff were going out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The hotel was flawless. I cannot report a weakness. Being right next to Tokyo Station, access to anywhere in Japan was easy. I look forward to my next stay at a Shangri La.

Nice and spacious room with great amenities. Convenient to train station, shops and restaurants. Only an hour away from Narita by bus and 45 minutes by train from Narita airport. The only thing is breakfast not included with room reservation but lots of choices to go to around the area.

This has to be one of the WORLDS best hotels...everything is at the highest levels of quality and service. It’s conveniently located, restaurants are top notch and service is over the top. Our bellman even escorted us to Tokyo station to make sure we got on the right train, found our car and got seated.

Stayed on the club level and it was well worth the price. Not a single complaint about anything during our stay. In addition, They purchased our train tickets to the airport the day before our flight and literally walked us to the train to ensure we didn’t get lost.

Hotel is located close to Tokyo station, without feeling like it is located close to Tokyo station. The staff were amazingly friendly, and very accommodation of our 1 year old. Rooms were clean, and had all the up to date facilities expected in a modern hotel. Extremely worthwhile staying there.

From the minute we arrived at this hotel, I was impressed by the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the overall location. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to be within walking distance to Tokyo Station, Marunouchi, Ginza and Nihonbashi. I'm a huge shopper so having Daimaru, Mitsukoshi and Takashimaya all within walking distance was amazing.
