The famous piss alley or Omoide Yokocho in Shinjuku, Tokyo. By day it's just another narrow alleyway common in Tokyo, but at night the street turns into a mini nightlife area for the salarymen of Tokyo. With numerous tiny #bar lining up, the nickname comes from the fact in the past so many drunk salarymen doing their "bussiness" there because there's no toilet anywhere in this alleyway. Today, regulation has been set in the area so it is a lot cleaner than before.  
The alleyway is very narrow and can only fit at maximum 2 people at a time so be mindful of your surrounding when visiting especially when there's many drunk people walking by from the bars. The bars are also very tiny and can only fit less than 10 people at a time. We had an amazing time at the property we were a family of three on our first trip to Japan, it was in a great location and well distributed with easy access to shinjuku and nishi-shinjuku stations, it is on a quiet neighborhood really amazing due to the closest to Shinjuku. The studio has everything you need and our host was accesible and fast response, he spent some time explaining and suggesting landmarks, restaurant and activities, a great help for first time Japan travelers. Being so close to both train stations made it so easy to transport within Tokyo and a few stations from Tokyo station for users of the Shinkansen (bullet train). We definitely will be back
