We got corner space bank beds with vertical ladder. That was not easy to get on the bed and manage belongings stored under somebody else’s lower bed space. Only space we had were common with three chairs with a table for eating etc. Otherwise we had to stay on our bank bed. Location is great with food and a train station (Odakyu line) very close. The biggest problem with the place is the lack of shared spaces specifically for the guests. This isn’t going to be a problem for some I think but I personally think of hostels as places to meet and talk with fellow travelers. Harder to do without dedicated shared spaces for the travelers to socialize in. There is the sleeping area and bathrooms but no real area for the guests to hang out. You can use the cafe down stairs but it isn’t really for the guests so you will be sharing it with the cafe customers. You also have to exit the building to get to the cafe. Plus the cafe isn’t open at all times so you might find yourself needing to sit outside to talk on the phone or talk without bothering other people trying to sleep. Some additional notes is that you have to rent things like towels and such if you don’t bring your own. This sort of thing depends on the hostel in my experience but I do prefer ones where towels are provided because they can take up a good bit of space. I stayed twn whole nights and aside from one or two guests it was quiet and clean, the bed was comfortable and I asked to have them change my sheets halfway through. It's close to two stations and convenience stores and the coffee shop although usually busy is very good. I had one breakfast there which was really tasty! The staff is helpful and polite.
