We stayed in a Treehouse unit. It was a unique experience. Self-contained with a magnificent view, it was as we imagined. Waking up to ocean views with the sounds of the surf crashing on the nearby beach was exhilarating.
The unit itself was well layed out. Big enough for two but not for more. It has its issues… there is very little closet space and if you’re used to having drawers for storing any clothes, you’d be disappointed. The kitchen faucet in our unit was loose and needed two hands to use. And finally, previous guests left Amazon boxes in our closet which we removed and placed outside our door, where they remained for our 4-night stay. No one came to get them or to service our room (which we’d requested).
The Lodge is alright. Somewhat cozy with plenty of opportunities to sit and enjoy some spectacular views. Lots of books on birds. We ate here one of the nights, which was a set menu. The food was good, not great. There are better restaurants in the area which we also tried. Our stay also included a continental breakfast which was again, just ok.
All in all, primarily based on the unit and the views, we recommend this place.
