  • Read verified reviews from fellow travellers to pick the best accommodations for you
  • Save time and money better spent on another kayak trip

Take a deep breath and brace your nerves: Your exciting outdoor experience awaits.

There’s no shortage of things to do in Tofino. Get ready to saddle up bright and early for a horseback ride. Go surfing along the 35 km of beaches lining Tofino, followed by a hike to the very top of Lone Cone, where you’ll get a stunning view of Clayoquot Sound. If you’re visiting in the winter, you’re here for storm-watching time. Arrange for a storm-watching package – including meals and a prime room location – through your hotel, or just don your slicker and rain boots and gape as the Pacific Ocean does its worst. If you still haven’t gotten your fill of exciting things, try ziplining in Kennedy River Canyon. And for something to really write home about, go bear watching around Meares Island (don’t worry: you’ll be on a boat).

All this moving around is bound to be exhausting, so head back to your Tofino adventure hotel for some much-needed R&R. Get your sweaty, salt-stained clothes cleaned up at the laundry facilities, then sneak over to the in-house restaurant for a meal to help recharge your batteries. Some hotels provide grills, so you can cook your own meals if you’ve had some luck fishing or browsing the Tofino Market. If you want to stick a toe back into the outside world, you can check your email and social media using the hotel’s free Wi-Fi, but make sure you remember to disconnect – you’re here for adventure, not the same-old, same-old.

Whether you’re in town to see how much your heart can take or are just passing through to watch a Pacific sunset, you can head to Expedia.ca for deals on all hotels in Tofino. We provide the best discounts on all lodgings in the area, meaning you’ll have more money in your pocket to purchase proper hiking boots for the 11-km Walk the Wild Side Trail.
