Welcome to The Bear Den; a cozy 3-bedroom, 2-bath cabin with rustic charm and modern comforts. Originally built in 1975, it still has creaky floors and character to match! Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, heated bathroom floors, electric fireplace, pool table, and games. Outside, relax in the cedar hot tub, grill on the BBQ, or unwind by the fire pit. Just 200 yards from Pocono Farms Golf Course (which is open to the public) and surrounded by peaceful forest views, the Bear Den is perfect for mornings on the patio or nights under the stars. 🚗 Parking & Guest Requirements A maximum of 6 vehicles are permitted in the driveway. Parking on the grass or on the paver blocks beside the driveway is strictly prohibited. Street parking is not allowed and is enforced by the HOA and neighbors—violators may be towed and fined. 👤 Primary Renter The responsible guest must be at least 25 years old and present during the stay. ⏰ Early Check-In & Late Check-Out If you need early arrival or a late departure, we recommend booking an extra night to guarantee availability. Located In the Pocono Farms Community in Tobyhanna Things to Know Before You Book 🏞️ Wildlife Warning We’re in a beautiful, natural setting. You may spot deer, birds, or even the occasional bear. For your safety, please don’t leave food, garbage, or pet food outside. 📝 Community Registration Required Our home is in a private, amenity-filled community that requires guest registration. We’ll take care of it for you, but last-minute bookings may experience delays in amenity access due to office hours. Please provide your registration info at least 3 days before check-in to avoid late fees or access issues. 🐾 Pet-Friendly We welcome up to 2 common household pets with the paid pet fee—just let us know in advance. 🚫 House Rules To keep the vibe peaceful for everyone, we do not allow: Loud parties or disruptive events Unregistered guests or pets Excessive trash Thanks for helping us keep the space safe, clean, and relaxing for all! Occupants - Tenant agrees not to register each guest and pets occupying the property within 72 hours of arrival, late registration fee will apply for late information/form completion. Tenant understands that exceeding the maximum occupancy or not registering guests an result in eviction or fines. Tenant agrees to register (no more than 2) and pay for pets. Tenant agrees that no parties are allowed. Tenant acknowledges that primary renter is at least 25 years old and will be occupying the property for the duration of the stay. Check-In/Check-Out Times - Tenant agrees that they will not occupy the home before 4PM on the check in date and that they will completely vacate home by 11AM on the check-out date. These times maybe modified only with express written permission from owners. Tenant agrees to pay a fee of $50 per half hour for staying outside of agreed times. Community – Tenant agrees to all community rules and regulations including providing registration information in a timely manner. Tenant acknowledges that Galvanized Property management is not responsible for condition or availability of community amenities. Tenant agrees that any fines incurred from community will be paid for within 3 days or arbitration will ensue. Smoking- There is no smoking inside the property. Any evidence of smoking will result in extra cleaning fees starting at $50\. Tenants may smoke outside, but not within 10 feet of doors or windows. All evidence of smoking is to be cleaned up (butts, ashes, etc). Garbage- It is Tenant’s sole responsibility to remove all trash and food products from home and property at time of check-out. Tenant agrees to not leave garbage anywhere except inside of the locked shed. Any trash left inside the property will result in an additional fee of $20 per bag. Damages- Tenant agrees to pay for full replacement and repair of all damages incurred at the property, to the home and to the contents of the home during their rental period. Owners will notify tenant of any deductions from the damage deposit within 14 days of vacating property. Tenant agrees to promptly pay Owner upon written demand. The outdoor area wasn’t in great shape. The deck and outdoor table were peeling, one of the bench seats was starting to tare, the grill was significantly rusted and falling apart inside. The hot tub did not look new like the picture and the cover was falling apart, waterlogged and too heavy even for 2 people to move. There was a detached bench in the hot tub with a large screw sticking straight up that we had to remove. We chose the house for the hot tub and ended up only using it one time. Inside, we struggled with the lack of kitchen items. There were barely any cups/silverware and no hot pads or oven mitts. The pool table was fun but only had one pool stick with felt on it. The rest were broken or unusable. When we arrived, there was half a roll of toilet paper, 1 paper towel, 1 garbage bag, 1 dishwasher pod and no tissues. On the second day, I reached out to the management company and they were rude and defensive. Instead of apologizing, they offered a full refund if we left that day (which we decided to decline as we had nowhere to go). After a back and forth argument on Vrbo, they dropped off some supplies and a new set of pots and pans which was much needed. While this rental could be cute and cozy, many items need some TLC. The management company tried to send their own grading rubric which is why this rental has so many stars. Pool table was a hit for the teenagers and adults. Couch and comfortable chairs, TVs all over the place, super comfortable. I removed one star because on hot days downstairs was not air-conditioned and got about 80 that includes the downstairs bedroom, which is toasty in the summer. ##### Neil M. On the day of arrival, we got to the property about an hour before the stated check-in time, and the host was very flexible in allowing us to check in early, which we really appreciated.Overall, the property is nice. We were a smaller group—four adults and two pets—but I could see it feeling a bit cramped with more than 6–8 people, especially since there are only two bathrooms and limited seating in the living room for relaxing by the TV.One thing to note: the bedroom on the second floor might not be ideal if you like to sleep in. The curtains don’t fully cover the windows, which lets in a lot of light, particularly during the summer months. Also, the flooring on that level appears to be made of simple wooden planks, and in some spots you can actually see through to the living room below. It wasn’t an issue for us, but others might find it a bit flimsy.The backyard was lovely, though we weren’t able to enjoy it fully because it rained throughout most of our stay. That said, we made good use of both the in-home amenities and those provided by the community—those were especially great. One important note: some community amenities are only available on certain days. For example, kayaking was only offered from Wednesday through Saturday or Sunday, so it’s worth checking ahead when planning your activities.We really enjoyed our stay and would book this property again. ##### Faig A.
