Unfortunately it is in desperate need of an upgrade. Rotting woodwork, flaking and rusting ironwork, power lines hanging across the site, unswept areas and litter spoil an idylic setting. The staff are mainly very helpful and pleasant, but obviously under pressure too. We chose it as the restaurant looked good. We got the last room available, it was small but very comfortable. The food was good and a good selection of drinks, but a little overpriced and service was very slow. Breakfast was excellent and service was improved for this. The room wasnt the cleanest with lots of webs and spiders in the corners, and a few bits on the carpet. The tables in the pub and outside were also very cluttered with old glasses that hadnt been cleared away, coupled with dirty/sticky tables. The breakfast is forgettable and service too to some extent was miserable, maybe because it was a long weekend and the staff looked exhausted. De kamers lagen in bijgebouwen t.o.v. de pub/restaurant, dit maakt het direct wat rustiger in de omgeving. De douche was goed. De kamer zelf was ruim en het derde bed was ook een boxspring i.p.v. een bijzetbed of een slaapbank wat wij gewend zijn. Dit is echt prettig voor een verblijf van een week. De ligging naast de rivier is prachtig.
